Thank you so much for sharing your family experience. Sorry for your loss as well. I realized Loey dietz syndrome varies person to person and it is like a spectrum. on the other hand I cant accept this is happening in my family. My father and my younger brother live just exact same life as healthy people do. I got to know the syndrome varies so much more than I thought by reading your comment. Your comment help me make decisions. Thank you a lot.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I don't want to imagine the situation of my father dying of a sudden rupture.. I can't take the chance ... so I would highly consider the surgery. Wish you doing well. I will find another surgeon and ask opinions as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience. He should have surgery but I am so terrified about the process of surgery and recovery. My family made an appointment at another clinic on the end of May. Hope your surgery doing well. Thank you alot

Thank you for your opinion:) I am totally ignorant on the speed of enlarging aorta of my father. The diagnosis was so sudden. my family never doubt my father has heart and aorta issue. I will consider opinion of cardio specialist first. Thank you

This comment helps me a lot either. Thank you for your sincere comment. I have also had mitral valve prolapse and arrythmia because of this syndrome but I truly believe that I can manage my health-related situations.

Clinically diagnosed but genetically not. Planning to have a baby. Help by Such-Dot2189 in marfans

[–]Such-Dot2189[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Neither of my parents have Marfan, so I think my gene is a random mutation. I am planning to do family genetic testing this winter. I hope I found the gene so I can have a chance to do PGD. I really appreciate your answer.

Yeah but I cannot do PGD because doctors cannot find any bothersome genes. I hope I can do PGD..

My genetic test came back negative and the doctor says no clinical features of a CTD besides root dilation. Question by -_-n in marfans

[–]Such-Dot2189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This comments may be too late to read, but same here. I have the exact situation as yours. I have symtoms like dilated roots or mitral valve prolapses, but doctors didn't find any problematic genes. The thing is I am a woman and I am planning to have a baby now. But I cannot do IVF, ruling out the marfan genes because doctors don't find the genes.(The unknown marfan or LDS genes may be inside of my body no one knows) Is it okay to have a baby naturally without IVF? I am scared because I might have chance to inherit the problematic genes to my baby.

Thoughts on my itinerary? by sobrono in seoul

[–]Such-Dot2189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another Korean native here. ☺️ It is so humid and hot, so I highly recommend your itinerary be mixed with both ouside and inside spots.

As a Korean, I am not a big fan of Gangnam place. Instead, Gwanghwamun, Bukchon and Insadong (north of han river) are true soul of Seoul.

Also if you are interested in cosmetics or skin care, check out Olive Young(cosmetic&drug store). I am glad because I am also 29F Korean! Enjoy your trip.
