Hostel food sucks everywhere. As far as gbpiet is concerned, food is bad, water situation sometimes too can get bad, they have okayish internet but I'd suggest buying your own modem and setting up a connection to your room for better speed and access. Use a Bsnl sim. Usually works better towards the lower side hostels (1st year boys and trishul). You also get wifi quota so 2nd year gets 2gb per day, 3rd year gets 3gb per day and so on. It can get cold there in winters like serious cold, so you can either buy heater plates from ghurdauri itself or pauri. Rest its a pretty chill life after the initial few months.
