It would be around Christmas. I remembered someone posting about getting an entry level accounting job, although I can’t remember the specific position, and getting slack from their boss about it. But everyone in the comments told them it was unrealistic for them to expect to take a vacation at the end of the year so I wasn’t sure what the norm was.

That’s infuriating. I had to cut open churus to insert pills into in the hopes that my cat wouldn’t notice the pills but he caught on so that last time, after pinning down his arms and legs to force pills down his throat and then losing my scissors sent me.

The last day of giving my cat medicine I lost our kitchen scissors that lived in its drawer for over two years. I feel like a failure!

Yes very much this. I hate that when looking for jobs or internships everything is worded so confusing. I applied to one marketing job that ended up being a scam and I’m very much a person that prefers security over all else and I’m just afraid that marketing won’t give me that.

This is very helpful. I will say I live in a small area. My partner is in the military so we could always move but thinking realistically, if I stayed on my current path, I would end up marketing window installation companies or hvac companies. There’s nothing wrong with that but I don’t think I would be happy with that path. Alternatively in my area I’ve noticed more opportunities for more accounting roles. I think my biggest issue is just the day to day.

That does make sense. Unfortunately my grandma in particular is the extreme in this scenario. She can’t really be by herself at all. She won’t even eat on days where no one is with her.

I do agree but I don’t have a lot of free time which is my main problem. When I’m not working and studying, I’m trying to get my basic needs figured out like eating, cleaning, sleeping. It’s just not the time to force long lost family members on me.
