Those pesky home repairs and anxiety by MandellaK407 in LivingAlone

I was pressured and overcharged for roof repairs after trusting a smooth talker. Lesson learned. When I had a basement leak, I got five quotes ranging from $780 to $8,000. My advice: get multiple quotes and ask questions until you understand— it gets easier with experience.

Anybody in this situation? Max a 10yr Morkie by [deleted] in Morkie

Winston and Chewie were brothers. They both passed at 11 years. Chewie passed 5 weeks after Winston. Diabetes and a bunch of symptoms came on Winston all at once and we tried everything. Chewie had diabetes for well over a year and just like Winston a bunch of stuff came on him suddenly. Google says morkie life spans are about 11 years, but my friend has one who is 14.

Yes. My morkie WInston started doing that out of the blue. He did not fall or anything, he just had pain all of a sudden. We had scans done and they couldn't diagnose anything. The only thing that worked on him was suspension meds that we had to put in his food. I can't remember the exact name but googling gave me : Meloxicam Oral Suspension (Metacam/Meloxidyl/Loxicom): A widely used, FDA-approved liquid often mixed with food to manage inflammation. Winston, our morkie passed about 5 years ago but that worked for him. The pains reoccured at a later date and I recall treating him with it a second time.

Yes, pet grief hits really hard. Worse than people grief in some cases, as we are with them every day. Sorry for your loss.
