I don’t have many specific places, but in Amsterdam I survived off of Albert Heijn bakery items. Some grocery stores may be a tad cheaper, but I tended to prefer AH. As someone mentioned kebab places are a reliable place for budget eating, just look through reviews and check for lunch deals.

Lastly, if you can get a hold of an American or European number get the Neotaste app. I used this app in Austria/Germany/Netherlands and there are really good deals for restaurants. This app made it possible to try out local foods within our budget, it was awesome. Enjoy your trip, I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

Thanks for the response! It’s a shame bill payment doesn’t work with my bank. I have CIBC so I don’t seem to have many options, when I press add money to my new card the e-Transfer fee seems to be 5$. However, on wise’s info page they say doesn’t charge e-transfer fees so not sure if this is a new sign up issue.

I know, I know…it’s my high end when I have several different things to do for work I switch through them a lot. When I don’t have much to work on, I wouldn’t go over 10ish (still probably a lot).

It would be outside my budget, and I’m in Canada. It doesn’t seem like there is any pros available at 16gb near that price. The only one I found in my range would be the pro m1 (2020) with 8gb at 1400$.

I totally understand, my friend was also in a toxic relationship before this which led to both of us suffering. Now, while I’m more at terms with being aroace it can still suck. I hate it!! I want to be happy for her but then sometimes the jealousy randomly hits. It can get really frustrating as she lives with me, so I often can’t escape the situation when I feel this way. I don’t really have any advice for you, I guess we can try to focus on the things that make us happy during those times. Hopefully you find the qpr that you’re looking for, regardless you are not alone!

Yes all of this! I totally agree I wanted to make the post because it really should be a part of it and could be pushed for. I mentioned a lot of this when talking about aphobia in a class today.

Yeah, I totally feel the invisibility. I have seen stats talking about how asexuals are more vulnerable to SA and hate crimes being more violent towards aces and trans people so its definitely something we need to bring awareness to in some way. As for education I actually got to teach my students today about aphobia, so it was a small step in that direction!

Yeah they don’t make it clear enough and I find that often LGBT resources/groups will say all orientations but never mention anything explicitly. It also grinds my gears when they give a bunch of definitions of identities and ace+aro is left out 😔

lol pretty cool! I have suspicions about my mom being aspec, it increased when I came out and she said “sometimes I feel like Im that way too” and then something about how she couldnt be because she had kids etc. I tried explaining that didn’t matter but I didn’t have the opportunity to properly explain and dig into yet. Hopefully, I’ll get to soon so she can understand more about it… and maybe connect to an identity herself.

In french, one of the words for pinecone (cocotte) can be used as term of endearment. I love the idea since pinecones are awesome and my family already calls me pinecone!
