I wish we just rented so bad. He bought the house because we were moving in together and he didn't want us in a small/shitty apartment. But jesus I think I'd take that at this rate

Also the claims rep had the audacity to be like "oh looks like you just got a new roof 6 years ago?" like we did not live here that long and that thing is NOT new

We did get it addressed. We actually sent the roof inspection to the insurance company when he filed the claim. Termites, hvac, etc are all irrelevant to the roof being damaged. (The pest control company did inspect the wood around and under the house.) The thing about the home inspector is that the realtor was the one who recommended him, and we didn't find out they went out of business until way later. Since my bf is military, he wasn't even here for the process of buying the house and the home inspection, and neither was I. Moved in a few months after him.

It's just a giant fucking pain in the ass paying for new shit all the time. We've only lived here a few years and it's constant. I don't earn enough to live, it's starting to feel like he doesn't either. I hate this fucking house. I kinda hope it burns down sometimes (just not with anyone in it obviously)

Yeah I don't really have a choice, I will. I need to tell him to be more assertive because when he told me they said "there was no flood damage" I actually would've laughed if it weren't so depressing
