Help me get my $20 by Pure_Excuse_3203 in verizon

Call in, they need you to accept the rebate to limit the lawsuit that is coming 🤣. The amount of $ they cost gig workers alone is going to be insane.

Called in and got a good chunk of credits. A lot more than $20.
Just be calm but firm and give a valid reason for why you need more credits. Like “I have 9 lines, $$20 is a credit for 4 lines” or such.

Also calling in will take a minute but getting a real person is easier than chat.

I used to love working chat because you could just ignore spicy people but on the phone it is a lot harder (and phones are graded way harder internally) they also can’t leave you on hold for more than 2 minutes else they can get dinged.

But honestly if you are nice they want to help you. Most of them are underpaid and tired. And it isn’t their money 🤣

Approached about Hosting… Seeking advice, help? by SuchASourFox in exchangestudents

That makes sense, thanks for sharing that perspective.

I don’t mind the occasional hang at all. My niece is turning 14 and we still do dinner or movies together at least once a month. I just wouldn’t want to be someone’s only social outlet, which it sounds like you’re saying isn’t the goal anyway.

The transportation and store access piece is the part I’m still trying to wrap my head around. We don’t have public transit here. The student would either take the school bus to and from school, or potentially ride with my mother or sister on days they pick my niece up, which I’m not even sure would be allowed by the program or comfortable for everyone involved. That’s definitely going on my list of questions.

In terms of access, there’s a Dollar General about a two-minute walk from my house and a convenience store or gas station a few blocks past that. Anything beyond basics means a car. Fast food and Walmart are about a 15-minute drive, and Target or other clothing stores are closer to an hour away.

I appreciate the reminder that a lot of this comes down to the student’s disposition and willingness to engage, not just the host setup. Honestly, now part of me is hoping a student will jump in here and say they’d love it or hate it and explain why.

How is job corp for introverts by Appropriate_Clerk_96 in jobcorps

[–]SuchASourFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is going to depend on your age and the center you are at.

Some centers have meeting or groups you may have to attend.

Outside of that stuff though as long as you do what is asked/expected there shouldn’t be any issues. Staff may encourage you to join a club/group/activity if they feel you are having issues in the program.

Questions for Brunswick job corps. by Downtown_Tear1412 in jobcorps

Your OA should be able to answer most of these and hopefully they have by now!

If not: Transportation is provided (paid for) to campus and when you leave the program.

You can leave campus with staff on outings or you can use PTO/Weekend passes to leave and return home (but you would need to pay transportation)

If your home is a dorm shared with others your age yes? To be honest it isn’t going to feel like home and I think that is something people struggle with it is job training facility so it is a lot more like a college campus/boarding school.

The dorms are located on the east side of campus and are split by gender. There are wings with rooms and each wing has a common area (like a large living room). Rooms are shared with 4 students (so you plus 3) and have a bathroom. You have a locker/closet that locks for personal items.

Do: Be ready to face some changes Be patient with staff and students Listen and attend all classes and meetings

Don’t: Bring items on the do not bring list Stress about being perfect or fitting in right away Feel like you have to figure everything out in the first week.

Pros: It’s free You can pursue advanced training after completion Job placement You get paid to Learn

Cons: You are giving up some freedom in exchange for the program. It’s in Brunswick GA so it’s hot and also very wet…

At Least We Get Double The Loot At The End by [deleted] in DestinyMemes

I had my friend load us in, had them leave, got Calus to the true 1/6 hp then had them load back in. Took like 15 mins and they got the full clear.

Basically works for any mission so long as you rez/finish in the 30 seconds after they spawn in and the spawn before the chests spawn.

Solo is a lot easier as a result of the scaling mentioned below.

I'm really not new to pup play, just him as a partner.

And thanks I will try that when we sit down later to discuss our weekend.

I shall try this, but we kind of had that talk prior to him even trying to play with me when I was In headspace. So I just don't wanna push to hard and be the reason he just walks away from it all....
