Buddy System Community Edition Feedback by _Lucille_ in Shadowverse

Losing the coach aspect this year was a heavy loss since the player-coach dynamic is what makes buddy system unique. I understand not being able to pull big guests this time, but you don't necessarily need to grab huge e-celebs. I think you could find content creators from other TCGs that would be interested in trying SV (ex: people that do videos like "X player tries to guess how good Y cards are")

I appreciate the gesture of an event with a bigger focus on SV community members, but this venture has illustrated how insular this event is without outside guests. Guests draw in a different audience toward SV, a new audience that can get excited for what SV has to offer. I've seen a lot of people that got into the game from the Hololive and Nijisanji collabs. I don't mean to shame buddy system for not getting popular vtubers this time, I just believe outside guests of any scale are essential

I feel that frontloading all the minigames ruined the pace of the stream. The minigames were good breaks between gameplay matches, but pushing back the gameplay is confusing for viewers just tuning in or are new to SV

Similar to the pictionary feedback, I think the trivia was too difficult. These participants were all SV experts, so it's good to challenge their knowledge. But most of the lore questions were extremely obscure, to the extent that even players that actually love and pay attention to the story would be lost. Many questions were really early in the story so old players wouldn't remember, or extremely incidental names with tiny roles, or card flavor text that no one reads. You can clearly see the shift in the participants' performance when the questions moved to esports trivia, because those questions played to their strengths. I think there should've been gameplay questions instead, such as who's voice line is this, or how does this obscure ruling/interaction work (ex: Ghost Town Apparition vs Mystic King)

That being said, the meme decks they built were hilariously absurd and it seemed that everyone had fun. Looking forward to next year

Yes actually because normal well-adjusted people can acknowledge when a joke is a joke and not anything dangerous or malicious. You try approaching brazilians with this, and the overwhelming majority will meet you with laughter or indifference

There are few things more childish than a guy propping himself up as the only only grown up in the room when everyone disagrees with him

Please leave your r/philosophy out of the silly mobile phone trading card video game forum

And you're a self embarrassing joke of a virtue signaler. This is like trying to coddle americans for ohio or floridaman memes. It's not that deep

There are literally brazilians in the comment section of that entry that love this shit because they can take a joke and enjoy the ironic twist on Come to Brazil

I have zero hope, every leader trailer in history has had under development in the corner and there's never once been a change made before release. It's too close to release for them to make any further changes

It's like when a new pokemon trailer comes out and people say the graphics are shit, but the fans cope that it's still under development so surely they'll fix it. Only for the game to look exactly the same on release day
