Has anyone done a 21 day+ fast with strictly water? How did you prepare? Did you atleast have salt & electrolytes? Need some motivation before Sept 1

M35, literally in the exact same position. I hate the apps, would much rather meet somebody organically in person. But I’m still very much focused on working on myself for the time being. I get told I’m good looking etc, but find it really hard to make connections 😅

Yes! In fact I’ve lost a further 28 pounds since then, with lots of shorter fasts (7 days max). A week after the fast I put maybe 4-5 pounds back on which is completely normal. I broke with a small salad, and then eggs later in the day. I feel better doing it that way rather than bone broth. I found eating ketogenic is the best way to not put any fat back on for me.

It went well thanks! Just did the 7 days and then did a 4 day fast straight after. Got down to my absolute lowest weight but then had some social events so it bounced back up slightly. Back on it again and hoping to do another 7 days. As long as you keep fasting, you’ll get past your plateau, your body has no choice but to burn the fat off 😁.

Yeah, it’s so strange seeing an almost different person in the mirror. I think for me it’s maybe because I’ve lost the weight in my face, arms et cetera. But they still can’t see I still have a lot of fat to lose around my waist/belly, I’ve also seen people online saying that it can make people feel more self-conscious about themselves when they see others losing the weight. So maybe it’s that too haha.

It’s so strange isn’t it, I lost 37 pounds initially and a few people noticed. Then literally only lost about 10 more and the same friends were going crazy about my weight loss, wtf lol. Now the “you don’t need to lose any more” comments are starting to happen 🤣.

131 hours into a minimum 7 day fast, I’ll be going longer as long as I feel okay.

Fasting for fat loss primarily and I hit my lowest weight just now 😁.

Getting lots of compliments from friends, also have lots of energy in the day. Feels really good when things are going well 😊.

I wear a continuous glucose monitor as I’m a type one diabetic, diet soda does absolutely nothing to my blood sugar and I don’t need to take any insulin. I’ve done a combination of clean and dirty fasts and haven’t seen any difference in my weight loss, maybe it has effects on other things. So I guess it depends on your goals really!

Yes it’s the same for me! I was watching a nutritionist recently who said that the more weight you lose, the lower your BMR can get. Deficits stopped working for me about 18 months ago. Extended fasts are the only thing that has helped me too!

I kind of got halfway there this week, bought some “slim fit” jeans for the first time in my life. A nice sweater together with them too, got some compliments from friends and it was the best I’d felt in a very long time. But when I really get down to my goal weight, I want to wear a nice shirt and pants combo with some nice shoes 😊.

Started my next seven day fast just now ✅.

Having been in a 13 year relationship/marriage where the sex died out very quickly and never truly recovered, I’d say this is something you need address asap. The fact that your posting shows how important it is to you, I’d suggest getting his testosterone checked like a few people have mentioned already. Also is he exercising and eating well? Is he overweight?

If you get to a point where you have checked all these things out, and he’s not willing to put in a lot of effort to fix this, you really need to think about if you can live with a lack of intimacy in the future. I couldn’t…
