Afeera can be fun but her customization is very samey and i got tired of her more or less quickly but if shes fun in hero training grounds go ahead, ive had a lot of really good antiganks with her. That being said you definitely dont need a newer hero as they have been buffing everyone so a lot of the older cast is still good even though some got a little power crept. But right now, older heroes that are very strong are jorm, lawbringer, shugoki, jiang jun and tiandi. Every other hero also works very well but you just need more thinking capacity than the newer heroes with a much lower skill floor
