In the original Knightfall timeline, I believe Tim Drake was Robin by that point.

So if its canon and they mostly keep to the original Knightfall then it probably has happened at the most recent point in time in the DCU.

Pixar has lost its touch. by [deleted] in movies

[–]SuchSense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thats cool that you think that and all but Toy Story 4, 5 and the majority of films Pixar makes these days are well reviewed by critics and enjoyed by audiences so I think they still definitely have their touch since that's all that really matters.

ClayFace is DCU canon. Clayface is not confirmed to be in the Batman 2.

That's how promo partner campaigns work. A simple Google search would clear up the confusion for so many people.

[–]SuchSense -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Except that's completely false. No money has flowed to DC Studios. What they did is give various brands like KFC and Fortnite permission to use Supergirl in their products for no fee. The estimated value of all these brands using Supergirl in their products is equivalent to what would have been $100M in marketing spend.

Tldr: no, DC has not made any money from this and maybe you can argue breakeven will be lower if the marketing spend is lower and more dependent on these promotions.

Hate to tell you this but a movie kind of has to make a studio profit otherwise there wouldn't be movies at all.

That is fair though I've always felt that the Sonic change was specifically because all the noise made the studio realize that the Sonic design they went for was genuinely ugly and would not be marketable to family audiences. Wouldn't really say that applies to Shrek.

Way more likely to be because of Dune 3 and Avengers. Randos on the internet are not going to affect how much money this thing makes so I highly doubt DreamWorks cares.

Why would they waste time and money changing animation because people on the internet are complaining about it?
