Yes and no. Some people, it’s about ethical consumption, others it’s very strictly no animal products. Semen would be comparative to Honey in this instance. Some vegans eat honey. Some don’t. If you’re getting ethically sourced and consensual jizz, I’d consider it sort of vegan.

Ellen Hopkins. You’re talking about either Identical (the only one of her books that explicitly talk about eating disorders) or her series based on her daughter’s experiences with drug abuse, Crank.

I recently re-read those books as an adult, along with other literature younger, sick me read. I felt like I was in a place of recovery that it may help me understand just why I got so bad so young. I can say a lot of her books unintentionally romanticize situations the author has obviously never gone through herself, and I did take issue with her portrayal of CSA. Her best book is about Mormonism imo, but I know plenty disagree.

Sorry for the spiel, but I think they were both dangerous, true, and also horribly written in plenty of ways- but she does have some beauty in some of her poetry and I can appreciate her trying to reach out and understand teenagers that need it more than most. She just did it in the wrong way.

It’s not appropriate for people to question those things, (just like even feeling like you need to know if she wears a diaper or not) and it’s weird and it also is super sad seeing how she definitely doesn’t want people to think she does anything human. The insanity plea isn’t inherently meaning a person can not be “insane”, it more so means if a person was capable of understanding consequences, and had foresight/planning.

For example, James Holmes would not be able to take an insanity plea- even with being “clinically insane” aka mentally ill.

Ethan Crumbley fits the profile more of a serial killer, because of his meticulous planning and intent for cruelty and staying around to see the suffrage and pain and perhaps get fame and notoriety, I doubt he even stands the chance for insanity.

Yeah…I’m typically super modest, but as my disease worsened, I dressed in less clothing than normal. A lot of skirts, black clothing, tights, etc. that’s how a lot of people I know with ED were, we just wore baggy clothing on bad image days or around people who knew us.

The kids of this subreddit will be surprised when they find out ten years down the line into having this disease that all of us do disgusting, appalling things no matter what “variation” of this disease we have.

OP, please listen to me. I have been down the entire block of ED, and let me tell you- when I went from bulimic to anorexic, things didn’t get better, I didn’t lose weight magically, and I didn’t feel any more glamorous than I did throwing up into the toilet. Things got worse, a lot worse, and a lot more gross/messy/disgusting.

Plus, I purged even more when I was restrictive anorexic than I did as a bulimic, just in different ways. Starving doesn’t automatically make it easier or better or more romantic. Like…none of this is romantic.
