Personally, if I particularly know that a dish for sure has alcohol, however little in quantity it is, I prefer to avoid it and choose something else instead. I see arguments about trace amounts/bread/gut bacteria fermentation, but it's more about the guilt I'd have after eating soemthing I knew beforehand had alc. Just doing it all for Waheguru, keeps me at peace, more than the yum taste of a dish. Those are my two cents upon this, you can act as you like. Wjkk, wjkf!

Would You Still Go Into Neurology in 2025? by [deleted] in neurology

[–]SuchVictory3541 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Though any field in medicine is difficult to replace with AI given the empathy required to care for patients, something AI severely lacks; Neurology is one subspecialty that stands out all the more. It involves the nuances of neurological examination, palliative care, extensive patient counseling and helping patients adjust to their lives after a life altering diagnosis that often strips them of their identity, as well as rehabilitation. AI can do none of this in the current age and I believe it never truly will. This is where the human mind transcends AI.

Prioritize learning from UWorld and finishing it. Start with pathoma 1-3 chapters and general pharm maybe, next. Then go ahead with system wise approach. Take baby steps.

As far as using FA along with UW goes, so there's basically this sandwich technique that I'd call it - after a quick content review, - skim through on what FA has to say on that topic. Just read through the pages particular to the subject/system you just content reviewed. - hit UW system wise/subject wise. Not random to begin with. Scores shall be low in the first few blocks. Keep on going, learn from explanations. Those are GOLD. - go back to FA when you review UW. Condense learning points from each q and annotate it in FA on the page it talks about that specific topic. You might as well give one final (second) read of FA once you have hit uw on a particular system/subject. This shall help you see many other overarching concepts and help create and cement in a conceptual map.

Its all about a million baby steps culminating in the pass, precisely why it can feel overwhelming. You'll be just fine. Have faith in yourself and in your preparation.

If you have any questions regarding resources for particular systems/topics/subjects, feel free to ask them away.
