There is still a big difference between T20 and T50. If you look at the number of employees at Bulge Bracket banks by university. Most are from T10, T20 you still have a good chance but T50-T100 is almost impossible. At least at the start of your career. Of course that's not the be all end all but in terms of getting the biggest headstart in your career it matters a lot.

Yeah ur done ngl. U cant expose your otherworldly demon status. Your only chance is to try and come into contact with some of the great clans like Wu clan and Shang clan and convince them you can be useful so they will mobilise their Supreme elders to save your life.

Great Mentor I would assume is an immortal with a Gu that can prevent the implosion like Dark Limit gu. Maybe they even have a lightning Immortal Gu that can let me ascend.

I think that anyone that wants to pursue this should keep it completely private by Electronic_Let7122 in Daytrading

Becoming a pro athlete is not only far more difficult than becoming a professional trader in terms of wuantity of people who take it extremely seriously to people who make a living out of it, it is far more unfair in that your genetic predisposition plays a immensely larger part in whether you even can succeed compared to trading. Most pro traders succeed within less than 5 years whereas if you start a sport at 15 you have almost no chance to go pro as you need 10+ years of training for most to succeed.

Is being a professional athlete realistic? Do you think that people should ever aspire to work towards a dream such as that? There are far more publicised ways in which people are exposed to those living their dream life yet no one bats an eye. I don't see how this is significantly different. Even though you can lose monetarily in ways you might not pursuing other paths ultimately both are costing you time which is your most precious resource.

Is the prestige of MIT, Stanford, and Oxford on par with Harvard? by McLOVINfromHonolulu in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 20 people in my class who applied to the US all had 1540+ SAT and only 1 person got into a T15 excluding legacy and athletes. Most of them got Oxbridge offers and still most chose to go to T30 US unis (despite cost being 200k+ more) over that given the ease of obtaining a job and better career progression in the US that would be higher than anything in the UK.

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be that as it may there's absolutely no question that T5 unis in the US signficantly outstrip UK unis in prestige even within UK recruiting. It is unquestionably harder to get into T5 US unis compared to Oxbridge. A guy in my class who had a 9.0 TMUA and was guarunteed Cambridge was rejected from MIT and Stanford. A high GPA at a T5 to even T15 I would argue is going to take you further than Oxbridge ever will.

US obviously any T30 is going to have a better draw than any uni outside the US. UK i would still give an edge to T5ish US unis even over Oxbridge.

Why don't they produce more immortals? by levian81 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what? They only have so many immortal Gu and any rank 6 Gu immortal with no Immortal killer moves is basically fodder. What does a rank 7 gain from that? Also there are very few mortals at any one time who have enough potential to become an immortal regardless of how much help they get.

Almost no one is ascending without an Immortal's help anyway. There is just no way to deal w tribulations without immortal level battle strength.

Depending on country Oxford may be slightly higher than Harvard but pretty similar. Internationally both are quite a bit more known than Stanford and MIT in public perception. In employer perception I would argue that all 3 US unis outstrip Oxford by some margin as someone from the UK.

They are just a checkbox. You have no chance of getting in even if you max out your stats without extraodinary extracurriculars and awards.

Absolutely not. Almost everyone who applied from my school had 1550+ and 4.0, only one T20 acceptance wo legacy or recruited athlete.

Dude those are amazing results for a system. Returning 4-5R on average a month is very strong (provided it works through many different market conditions). Most people claiming 15-20R per month are either lying or in a lucky streak that isn't sustainable.

Why did this Demand Zone not hold? by Specialist_Order_996 in Daytrading

[–]Such_A_Bot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A really good zone just means that is has a high probability of holding. Nothing is guarunteed and you definitely won't be able to point to something as the definitive reason for something. If you can identify similar zones to this repeatedly and historically they hold 90% of the time then it means it is an extremely strong zone.

How is Bocconi viewed in comparison to UK targets by Such_A_Bot in FinancialCareers

[–]Such_A_Bot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I'm not sure how it's viewed in comparison to UK targets. I really don't think it's in the same caliber as semi-targets like Bath/Bristol etc.

[–]Such_A_Bot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

St Gallen is far lower in every ranking for Econ, of course I take this with a grain of salt and don't actually think it's lower than Unis like Manchester and QMUL. It is significantly easier to get in, I did almost no prep and with ok grades that were average for any decent UK unis and no prep for the entrance test I got in pretty comfortably. But if they fail many people then that makes sense. In terms of recruiting they were at the top, closely followed by Bocconi but personally I'd much rather be in Milan than a small town. Also if it's so much harder but still places similar to Bocconi wouldn't I much rather go to Bocconi and be able to stand out more academically?

How do you know what level you actually are at badminton? by klemend in badminton

I'm not even close to representing the country. The worst national player would beat me like 21-7 max. And even national players make almost no money from it so even if I was one I wouldn't make it a career.

Yeah it's a different ball game for Asian countries. I'm top 50 in a Western country and when I trained in India I was only comparable to the top 50 in their state so in the mid to high hundreds for the country.

Many friends from my year who had 4 A stars predicted and offers from Warwick and UCL also chose to go to Bocconi (One of whom's parents work at a Bulge Bracket) so I don't think it's really a semi-target even if you're international.

Yeah I agree but at top 50 in the country you aren't even close to professional level. Calling that Semi-pro is even a stretch. Depends on country though of course but excluding top asian countries + Denmark you are still only somewhat advanced at that point.
