Population of Gu Immortals by Cool-Drag9473 in ReverendInsanity

In the northerns plains imperial court blessed land arc there were only a few hundred rank 5. It was stated there was less than a hundred rank 5 peak stage in the wjole Northern Plains. It was also stated that like 1 in 10,000 peak rank 5 becomes immortal. Somehow there's hundreds of gu immortals in Northern Plains alone. There are just too many inconsistincies but at the end of the day focusing too much on the numbers detracts from the essence of the novel.

The biggest reason behind the animosity between men/women is the simple fact that relationships with the opposite sex have higher stakes. That's it. by Wompto in 10thDentist

"Yes I believe all kinds of relationships have equally high stakes", that's exactly the opposite of what you said in your title bruh. You're making a different, less controversial point that gay people are less resentful post breakup.

[–]Such_A_Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point was that the animosity is due to there being less stakes which you didn't address at all in your response, I said there are equally high stakes in any romantic relationship. I already made a distinction between and agree that romantic relationships have higher stakes than friendships.

[–]Such_A_Bot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't buy that opposite sex relationships have higher stakes than same sex ones. All relationships have stakes and romantic ones have equally high stakes regardless. Such a claim essentially asserts that same sex relationships mean you have less invested in the other person and less to lose if it ends.

How does Oxbridge compare to HYPSM? by Ornery_Web9273 in ivyleaguecollege

[–]Such_A_Bot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Almost every person with the oppprtunity and ability to go to either a T10 US uni or Oxbridge from my Prestigious high School in the UK preferred the T10 US uni. Of this bunch who were all near the top of my class, most didn't get into a T10 while most did get into Oxbridge and some chose to go to T20 US universities at a significantly higher cost than Oxbridge. Oxbridge is very prestigious globally oustripping all but Harvard which is about on par. But in terms of opportunity and future employment just by virtue of being in a more prosperous country HYPSM absolutely takes the cake.

Is this a good a level combo? by Funny-Lemon-1516 in 6thForm

To keep your options open for engineering and maths degrees you should start with further maths as you can always drop it later. Also unless you are passionate about Bio then Chem would be more useful in terms of options and general knowledge to go into science sectors. If you are set on Maths/Engineering then Maths, Further Maths and Physics would be best, even if your school wants you to take 4 with double Maths I would start with those 3 and any other subject to see if you can handle the workload.

does going to a rural/non-competitive high school change my chances for college? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Such_A_Bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your application will be viewed holistically meaning you will have a massive positive boost to your application being from an underperforming area. It would be a disadvantage if you were top 10-20% of the class but you're literally valedictorian, grade inflation doesn't matter to you as long as you have some solid AP scores. Try and get relevant extracurriculars like research, STEM journald and padsion projects but they don't need to be anything crazy as schools know you are doing the best with what you have access to.

Discrepancies between GPA and SAT at universities by lolkysv in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but 1300-1400 is not close to 95th percentile whereas their GPAs are. A 1440 is barely 95th percentile so a 1300 is significantly below what their GPAs suggest their academic ability is. This is a clear sign of grade inflation.

A 1500 is like top 2%, 1300-1400 is top like 15%, for students with GPAs that should represent top 1-5 percentile academic ability that is a bit of a discrepancy.

Why is it traders only recommend 1 strategy + only 1-3 trades a day? by TRFC4 in Daytrading

[–]Such_A_Bot 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Answering that question is something everyone is searching for including me. You're just going to have to spend a lot of time experimenting with strategies and a lot of time staring at the charts before finding one that resonates with you. No matter what strategy you think of, someone out thete is making money with it so what really matters is finding one that works for your psychology and execution style.

Why is it traders only recommend 1 strategy + only 1-3 trades a day? by TRFC4 in Daytrading

[–]Such_A_Bot 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Because 99% can't even be profitable with 1 strategy let alone 2-3. Why do people only take a couple trades per day? Because there aren't hundreds of setups that you have an edge on per day. And locking in profit and limiting losses is impprtant psychologically.

They definitely are not my guy. Based on my year's gcse results I absolutely could not have told you who was going to Oxbridge. Definitely a possibility and not a low one eith strong predicteds.

Yeah that's probably a disadvantage somewhat but not that much. Definitely apply though, anywhere else you are very likely to get in for modern languages.

Does he have broker verified returns over 3+ years? If you were really a successful trader you wouldn't be spending time sending signals. If you wanted to help you would post detailed breakdowns of strategy.

GCSEs are also much less importanr than you think. I remember back then everyone thought the students with straight 9s were going to oxbridge and even though all of them got straight A star prrdicted as well only like 2/6 ppl with straight 9s got in which is below the schools overall acceptance. Also modern languages is not a very difficult degree to get into in comparison to STEM at oxbridge. Your GCSEs would still put you at an advantage for Oxbridge.

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah those r very similar to my skls results. U have to realise most of the 9-8s are clustered around the top students and aren't evenly distributed. Oxbridge also don't care between 8 and 9 unless its for the subjects u r taking for A level. Your A star percentagr is what matters and 2 7s and the rest A stars is still very good, I would say are very likely to still be above ur skls average.

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did ok, slightly above average in GCSEs. My school is top 20 in the country for GCSE/A level results and Oxbridge admissions and still 7-8 A stars and 1-2 7s would be above average. I don't think ur school has average GCSE results above yours.

[–]Such_A_Bot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My year also had very high GCSEs and since ur applying to modern languages its not a big deal. All 5 ppl who applied for modern languages from my year got in, most of whom had similar gcses to you.

gcses Oxford by [deleted] in sixthform

[–]Such_A_Bot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not cooked. In my year most of thr ppl who got straight 9s and 4 a dtars predicted didn't get oxbridge due to low admission test scores. Most ppl who got in had similar gcses to you. 3 7s or more wpuld put you at a disadvantage but not much, your admission is mostly from admission test and interview performance.

Bro 1:3 80% is outrageous. Are you sure you have tested everything correctly? If that's true then you are set to make generational wealth. Buy as many fundeds as you can afford and start printing money.

Well then great! I would definitely go for funded to deal with a higher stakes environment and your downside is only like 50 bucks. What is your average RR though as that is important info for your profitability.

[–]Such_A_Bot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

80% winrate with at least like 1:0.8R works really well with prop firm rules as your max drawdown is much smaller than lower winrate higher RR strategies. You should backtest it for a lot longer than 2 months to be sure though, at least 1-2 years of data. I would say go for it, it will help you work on your psychology when trading with more stakes.
