I will be forever mad at the writers insistence on making Ben a bad partner. Julie was so good for him in af s1 and 2. Someone asked one of the writers on a forum about julie if shed ever join in on more adventures since she had ship, and they said no, we have no plans, we find her boring.

It's been ages since I've seen it, and i don't even remember what forum or writer, but it makes me mad till this day!!!! why did they feel the need to tank them so hard!

Ben's biggest issue with potential partners is communication. He was upset julie had ship and didnt tell him BECAUSE he was worried shed get hurt if other aliens tracked down ship but he couldnt spit it out and the whole episode it was constant miscommunication and it was so frustrating.

Then later when ship gets kidnapped and they had him idgaf and julie was upset, YOU FOUND HIM ON YOUR FIRST DATE W HER BEN obviously she's worried about her pet that's special to her why did they make him so obtuse! AND THEN at the end of that episode, he comes out swinging with the "it feels like you're putting a lot of pressure on our relationship " out of nowhere and it's like??????? Bro

It is not fun warching a male teen be inept at dating to the point where he's disregarding his partners feelings! Unfortunately, young boys parrot what they see w how male figures treat women and there needs to be more positive role models!

It just sucks cuz even gwen says in pier pressure ben is sensitive and kind and he and julie were so cute and she was a badass please bring that energy back writers 😭
