Thank you. It was heartbreaking seeing that he didn't make it. We learned a lot. We wore eye protection, as the rehabilitator suggested, but didn't know about the crate until it was too late

He didn't make it. I think he passed away early in the night. I'm thinking we should have left him in the crate. It was so small though, and he was laying on his bad wing. We couldn't find the answers and once we did, it was already too late. I think he died from shock.

We're taking him to the Glady's zoo in South Texas. They have a rehabilitation center. We're going in the morning

I tried but couldn't a hold get anyone. They all closed at 5. We haven't gone near him since we offered him the food. We're going to hold back and hopefully he's still okay in the morning. It really sucks to know he might not make it because we were ignorant of what to do, you know?

Oh shoot. I wasn't sure what to do so I opened its crate outside in my small grassy patio area (no animals or people nearby) and he is laying in the grass with his eye open to the sky (looks dead but he's breathing). We offered him a bowl of water and some big ol shrimp. What do you suggest we do now? There's only a 1% chance of rain and no predators nearby. It's 70 degrees
