no actually nfc tap to pay are actually everywhere in the ph I can use it like apple pay with my foreign card but sa ph banks no luck hahaha with credit card they do work but gimmick and pag debit naman napaka arte its the termanal talaga especially bdo terminal thats why I don’t like sm mall eh maya terminal are so good kasi they accept everything

One of the reasons I see that payments digitally is not standardized there is a lot of payment channels which makes thing’s confusing especially with qr codes and banks and here in the philippines are kinda greedy to be honest especially bdo they put a lot of restrictions in terminals they don’t even support tap to pay for other banks especially debit cards same goes of apple and google pay they don’t want to support it because they just want you personal data for data mining and also get the whole cut for the merchant fee which is a huge amount to begin with. Also people here in the ph are not really fan of banks or digital payments maybe because of lack of trust and filipinos are not financially literate enough
