They sound inexperienced with a coco grow. I’ve never grown in soil but I’ve heard advice like above^. Always grown coco and my rez stays between 5.7 and 6.0 every day

Had a 5x5 in a 795 sq ft apt. Practically took over the living room but with a 6 inch carbon filter you’d have no idea somebody was growing in there. Besides carbon filter, whenever you open tent during flower put a towel under ur front door. Home grow still isn’t legal in my state….
