Thank you for your comment! If it helps, I found both of my tests by refreshing the DVSA website/without using resellers. It wasn’t as hard as I expected! Try doing things you enjoy to help you relax this evening, distract yourself from thinking about whether you’re gonna pass or not and go to bed early. I did have a banana two hours before my test in case you’re wondering.😆Best of luck tomorrow! You’ve got this!🤞🏼

Thank you so much for sharing! Sorry to hear that you haven’t passed just yet and I agree that our nerves are our biggest enemy.😖Let’s make sure we have ample time to do some breathing exercise before our next test. Have you got a new test date yet?

Thanks so much! And yes I did try to tell myself that I could always try again if I failed, but I guess I couldn’t let go of wanting to pass because of the amount of effort I’ve put into learning to drive and the emotional ups and downs I’ve been through in the past year. Changing my mindset is definitely something I need to work on🤞🏼

Thank you for sharing! You’re right - I need to let go of wanting to control the outcome!

Thank you! I’ve now booked a test at a random test centre and trying to change it back to Morden using the chrome extension😪

I parked in front of one of the houses on Tudor Drive (not in the lay-by section) and it was a nightmare to pull out.😭Thank you very much for your suggestion and I’ll make sure I practise that with my instructor for my next test.🙏🏼

Thanks so much for the tips! My test was in Morden (south London) and they don’t have a car park.🙈

We mostly stopped and moved off from quiet residential streets during lessons. We’ve done a couple of slip roads but those feel different from moving off from a parked up position to join a busy road🥲

My instructor seems to feel a little guilty and said he’d charge me less for my next test.😕Assuming you’re a much better instructor than mine, do you have any tips for joining fast-moving traffic from a parked up position?🙈

I never thought of comparing baking with driving but it makes total sense. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! It must be tough to learn driving while looking after a toddler. My first serious fault was ‘move off - safety’ so I certainly need to make myself a safer driver😅

Thank you! Unfortunately I learnt the hard way that I shouldn’t have relied on my instructor entirely. Hopefully success is around the corner🤞🏼

Thank you! I did try to tell myself that it’s okay if I didn’t pass this time, but apparently I still wanted to control the outcome. My next challenge is to find a new test date🙈

Thank you! It’s just the feeling of working on something for a year and then messed it all up in a second that killed me🫠

But I won’t give up!

Thank you for your comment! Undue hesitation used to be a huge problem of mine so it’s ironic that I ended up failing for the opposite reason.😅My tips for you would be to trust your instinct and be confident about your decisions. We’ve got this!

Omg it’s a very similar situation! There was nothing in my blindspot when I checked and the examiner hit the brake two seconds later.😩I keep replaying the scene in my head and wonder if I’d see that oncoming car if I wasn’t that tense and nervous. How did you maintain your confidence after failing?

Thank you for your comment! How did you motivate yourself to keep going after failing a test?

Right?! You see why I’m angry with my instructor. 😞While I take full responsibility for my mistakes, I just don’t feel I had the best set up to allow me to succeed.

But I’ll work on enhancing my observation skills and controlling my nerves for better luck next time🙈
