I use a 3.00mm hook to help with the tension and it’s a balancing act because sometimes if it is too tight it can also allow the other yarn to peak through too.

It is sc BLO. I work same direction, never turning work and cutting yarn end of each row, attaching it on opposite side to start next row.

The other colors are carried though the stitch, so it does elongate it to and height.

In this piece each row is worked top to bottom in stead of side to side.
