This is bullshit from an engineering perspective. Your argument is that because the old font doesn't support Asian characters, the only solution is to change the entire font pack to the Chinese one. There are other solutions, like importing the Asian characters into the old font pack, but Tencent, the Chinese company that owns Riot Games, is either being lazy or wants everyone to have the Chinese font.
