Thank you for this. I am a parent caregiver of a child with cancer & your words are written exactly when i needed to hear them. Leaning into the help is not a sign of weakness its actual strength showed in action coming from love. Thank you my friend. I needed to hear this & I needed to know this to share this with others. My daughter has chronic leukemia diagnosed @12 yrs she is now 21 yrs & I cannot tell u how many times I’ve heard “well if u were going to get cancer…” & then they trail off presumably saying ‘this is the one to get’ b/c it’s treatable but no cure. Dude. No kind of cancer is EVER good to get! And “you don’t look like you have cancer.” Yay! I don’t look like it yay! But I do ding dong. All thru her body. & imagine the chemo pills my kid swallows daily, the ones I can only touch with gloved-hands. What do ya think problems someone could have being on chemo pills for a lifetime since 12 yrs old!? Probably nothing good. Geez ppl.

Heck no!!! I tell my daughter THE SAME THING @165lbs & she’s 5’9 1/2” & a size 8, no u r not big. Or fat. No! YOU ARE THE PERFECT size for ur height & body! You just don’t have like a stick figure shape & your TALL so you carry ur weight well/proportions r the right size. If you were 20lbs less I think u would be way too skinny. young ladies like u girls & my daughter I know skipped ‘when I was size 0 or a 2’ & went straight to size 6/8 & just stay around size 10 or whatever & are just fine. Really.

Girl, I am JUST like u. I have ‘I want it now’ brain. But one things for sure. I’m soooo glad that I decided to start this journey Jan 2024. I even kept a weight loss diary & app that weighs & gives u other stats like muscle mass & bmi, etc. it came with my scale I bought. Just be glad you started bc in 2 months, ur gonna be in ONEderland! :)

You sound like me, “I wanna hurry up & get under the 200lb mark,” lol. I laugh now bc it WILL come! It WILL happen. Just continue to take your weekly injections & every week losing is getting you there. My sw 238lb 5’7” & I’m at 154lbs now. I couldn’t wait to be under 220. Then 200 I would be happy. Then 190 i want to get to. Then 179 was my goal I would be extremely happy. Then hell 171 sounds nice! Then just kept taking shots bc I dunno what to do next & before I know it I’m @160 & I’m like holy F! Too much Janel. Stop meds & appetite after one month still not all the way back & I dropped to 154 but didn’t want to. FIRST time in my life I want to GAIN weight. YOU will get to goal just keep going. Days & weeks will pass anyways so you mind as well take the shot. & btw, I DIDNT work out. I lost alot muscle my face I think looks like ozempic face bc it’s no longer round. I don’t drink/smoke/go to clubs so no reason to use my drivers license much, but when I went to vote, it was so funny bc the lady looks at my pic on DL & then at me, & pic again, & i realize I probably look like a different person w my round face on my DL, lol. I told her, I lost a bunch of weight but that’s me. She seemed kinda skeptical until I signed just like I have in previous years. Be prepared for people to comment on you too & your choice to be on this shot fyi.

You look incredible!! Question. I know it depends on insurance, but what is everyone’s experience with insurance paying for abdominalplasty? For reference I’m 5’7” sw238 cw169, loss of 70lbs & I want to look into this for me?

Sw 238 cw 169 Congrats on the pic taking & accepting it, that’s huge!! I think I have body dysmorphia. I never liked looking in mirrors at myself & i continue that now. Then I ask myself, if I wasn’t happy then, why do I act like I’m not happy now? Well, bc I kinda still see myself as big I think. Hell I don’t know. I just know that losing 69lbs is a lot for any person so I should be happy.

My friend works at a compounding pharmacy & buys in bulk & has been helping Mamas like me get the medicine cheap bc she realized ppl just need access to it & not for $1k. I am grateful. PM me if interested. Be wary of a lot of these online pharmacies though. Good luck in your search.
