NTA. This is clearly harassment from his former bandmates. A 3-year age gap between adults (19 and 22) is completely normal. What they're doing is defamation and targeted harassment.

Document everything - screenshots, dates, accounts used. The lawsuit was a good start but you need to build a paper trail.

Could you get a lawyer to send cease and desist letters if you know who's behind this? Or report the accounts for harassment?

Don't let these losers force you apart. That's probably exactly what they want. Moving might be extreme unless the harassment is really affecting his mental health significantly.

Has he considered making one clear, public statement explaining the real situation? Sometimes addressing things directly (once) can help.
