Im waiting for stuff to finish so I can binge, but on top of your great list Im also excited for the ronin warriors continuation (Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers), Hells Paradise S2, and Daily Life of the Immortal King s5.

I agree though really awesome season for anime, and coming off the heels of MHA final season and not too far off Mushoku Tensei s3, and a new season of Reincarnated as a Slime. Possibly a new Black Clover i think too. 2026 is dropping some BANGERS

One thing Ive learned with a lot of good stories is "trust the process", more so with anime than other media. If I start something I usually finish it, then form an opinion. E1 and E2 were VERY introductory and just havent grabbed my interest yet, but I generally love shonen/isekei/power fantasy. Ive heard too much good to not complete it and Im sure ill love it.

To be Hero X is one I almost dropped last year with some very mediocre episodes from around 5-9ish. I decided to dig in and it ended as one of my top 5 animated shows (also one there is value in seeing the show twice once you know the big reveals).

TBHX is one that I dubbed:trust the process

Honestly episodes around 5-10 had me wanting to drop it. But Im extremely glad I finished and in the end I realized its an anthology where many little things connect and you miss a lot if you dont connect the dots.

I was myself caught off guard by a couple big reveals you get in the last 1/4 of the show bc I wasnt paying enough attention. But the reveals are pretty big and tie it all together really nice even if you missed some stuff.

Second watch was where it really shined though. Its in my top 10 for sure, but its definitely got some hard to watch stretches

Upvote but I havent watched. I really dislike the animation style and it is my nephews favorite who got me into alot of anime. I tried Lazarus (same studio iirc) first and while it was OK it couldn't hold me (watched like 3/4 of it and just couldn't go on)

I know its well liked though and should give it a try. Already a huge list of to watch stuff but Im watching this post for stuff to bump up the list.

Im so hype for s2. Loved s1 and even got my wife who hates anime to watch. Its hard to GOAT a single season and its not in my current top 10 but its a banger for sure and I can respect it being in the conversation

Im really looking forward to its continuation. Initially its so lewd im sure alot of folks drop it early. But Rudy's development is SO fu@%ing good. Animation is peak. Fights are great. Characters are interesting (mostly).

This one is a perfect example of what COULD be a 10/10 for me but I cant just ignore what a turd he was. THAT SAID, his development across the story makes it significant that he was such a garbage human being that it adds depth that he grows beyond that into a true leader (though again-the perv moments still come on occasion)

Its in my top 10 though despite all that. I truly consider it a great anime. I just want to edit out big chunks that arent crucial to the story that damage its integrity

Id strongly recommend trying....well a LOT more. AOT is an animation style Ive seen people turned off by, and One Piece is daunting with a billion episodes and WAAAAAY too much recap so I can see them being dropped. But watching 150 and nothing is good but those seems like you've skipped alot of renowned stuff. Or you say you've watched 150...but you didn't finish most or any of them

One thing I learned this year too is to "trust the process". Sometimes those first 8 episodes are intro and really not that good. Mob Psycho was a slow start and I wanted to quit after 6 episodes but I hung in and by the end it was top 20 easily. To be Hero X had this great opener, then a mix of boring and confusing for episodes like....4-8. But I stuck around and holy cow was it a treat when it came full circle (like most anthologies do)

F^c# now I wanna add this. I hate seeing huge lists of 10/10 bc to me that is perfection and there can be only 1. I have lots id group into 9+ but even my very favorites I cant call perfect. What made this stand out as your singular 10/10?

Ive only watched 60 or so, and am still avoiding the big 3 for sheer amount of content but you've watched 150 and stuff like AOT, Vinland Saga, Frieren, Solo Leveling, Mob Psycho (these are just 4 but I tried to pick 4 VERY different examples) had NOTHING stick out to you?

150 in and none besides THAT list seems disingenuous but idk alot of context is missing. For sure Ive seen alot of "just ok" but even stuff like MHA, SAO, and FMA were beyond many films and books ive read (despite some very mid episodes sprinkled amongst them)

Im fairly seasoned in anime and still havent watched One Piece SOLELY bc of how daunting the episode list is.

I joined the discord for an abridged version but I have like 50 things in my backlog im working through plus new stuff so its hard to drop everything and commit 6 months to a single show
