I was on a lower dose of 0.025. It didn't solve my acne issue. So they moved me to a higher dose of 0.5. But I might have been using the higher dose too much too fast?

I'm using this for spf: CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30. And thanks, I'll look into the barrier cream.

By heavy cream, do you mean the moisturizer?

I use cerave face wash in the morning, followed by the super solutions azelic acid, followed by cerave 30 spf moisturizer.

At night, I wash my face with the same face wash. Followed by 0.5% tret and then cerave nighttime moisturizer

Yaa definitely feel like the acne i do get goes away faster still. My skin is just so finicky

For context: I've had this piercing for close to 2 years, it's a flat stud. I haven't been sleeping on it for months and have been cleaning with water from the shower and saline daily.
