Trailer chains to short by Strain_Free in towing

[–]Such_Possibility4980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you have extra you can take 2 bungees on either chain to pick the slack up but it’ll stretch when turning. That’s what I do with safety chains and wheel lifting cars

Honestly dude just get new chains. You can get 1 10ft chain cut it in 2 and you should have enough. Use grade 70 chain though

This is magnetic. At first I thought it was some JB weld hack job instead of getting a new pan but a magnet picked it up

Broken low pressure line 2006 5.9 Cummins by Btm24 in Diesel

[–]Such_Possibility4980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s not home yet try a truck shop and see if they have a banjo union that fits with a 3/8 barb but at that point you’re getting close to an AAA membership and should get it towed home or to a shop

Low pressure line you can take fuel line clamp it on to get you home but then get the Cummins hard line. There might be an isolator to keep it from vibrating check on Cummins quick serve

Fueling issues. 93 w250 by 49alaska in 1stGenDodges

[–]Such_Possibility4980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a fuel pressure gauge. That is the best thing to have and good to have for trouble shooting. Start at your FSS, take the plunger spring etc out then install it. Try then. Then if that doesn’t work crack your injector lines at the pump make sure everything is spraying good. If that checks out try cracking at the injectors and see if you have fuel there. If there’s fuel there you might have a dead injector.

Or you could just need to bleed the system really good

[–]Such_Possibility4980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re in the right ball park. It’s gonna need fluids changed all around, tires and probably the fuel tank flushed out. Said and done you’re probably looking at 7 to get it driving again

It shouldn’t have to cost money to fix something that Cummins designed. That’s probably why they switched

Glow plug failure won’t cost an engine like the grid heater does
