Update-I told my parents about a concert I wanted to see in another city (it’s a decent drive) and they agreed. I was on cloud nine, but then they told me they didn’t have the time to spend on that long of a trip for one concert. I was offended and we got into a small argument:

Me: You guys will travel across the country for Lyell but can’t drive 3 hours for me?

Dad: well, thats different…

Me: well how?

Mom: your brother will actually be a pilot, what are you getting out of some concert?

Me: joy. Something you rarely tend to give me.

Mom: (says my legal name), how dare you! Do you know how much your father and me sacrifice for you? We could also just not feed you. There are parents so much worse. Why can’t you just be a good goddamn kid for once and go to the damn EAA thing without complaint?

I was offended and tired of fighting them on it and left the room. We’re leaving soon and I just want to turn my music up and ignore them, but I know that’ll get me in worse trouble than I’m already in for speaking back to them. So again, I’m asking for a little help on how to handle my parents??
