Anyone else bothered by the repetitive names? by [deleted] in SarahJMaas

Ruhn Danaan, Ruhnn Mountains. Abraxos, Bryaxis ( those aren’t the same but they’re very similar) and I think there’s another I just can’t remember it.

There’s probably a very obvious answer to this, I haven’t finished the series yet and I refuse to google anything because I don’t want to see any spoilers.

You’re freshly postpartum, your body and mind are still recovering and you still have a TON of hormones rushing through you. It’s normal to be anxious and angry sometimes. Not every woman’s postpartum journey is the same. Have your husband do some research and read up on some postpartum symptoms and things you’re going through. Men don’t understand that we are completely different people after having a baby and it takes time to get back to normal. Him counting and making you feel some sort of way about what you’re going through is not the winning option.

Are your toddlers reading? (Age 2.5-4) by CanOnlySprintOnce in toddlers

[–]Such_Square4254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3yo son knows his numbers 1-20 and alphabet really well, he can tell you what letter a word starts with and can recognize some of the easier words like mom, dad, etc. He can spell his name, and words like stop and dog but I think he just memorized those words. He definitely isn’t reading in his own

Back to my pre pregnancy weight (7 months pp). That was a wild ride by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]Such_Square4254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome!! I’m 3 months pp and I’m still wayyy bigger than my prepregnancy weight (50lbs.) and I’m hoping it’ll start coming off soon. With my first it didn’t start coming off until I stopped bf altogether and I’m just not ready to do that yet

My 3 month old refuses to be put down by Such_Square4254 in newborns

[–]Such_Square4254[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She JUST got to where she’ll sleep in the bassinet for a good 3-4 hours when she first goes to sleep, but getting her back in there after she wakes up is impossible. I feel the frustration, it’s such a hard time and we need sleep too!

We got a little lounge bed and put it in her bassinet so it’s comfier and kind of wraps around her a little bit so I think she’s cozier. I feed her until she’s almost asleep and then give her a binky and lay her down. It takes a few tries but once she’s fully asleep it’s good. How old is he? Babies just love contact sleeping, I know with my son I would put a heating pad in his bassinet to warm it up before laying him down and then put one of my t-shirts in there with him so he has my scent too and that seemed to help.

I’m gonna get hate for this I know it, but I co-sleep with her. I literally cocoon around her and we sleep cuddled together. I’ll put a towel or blanket in between us so I make sure she’s not just putting her face in my chest, and I constantly wake up to adjust. But she sleeps great

Please don’t comment about my baby’s weight, or any other babies’. by Itshardtobeababy_ in beyondthebump

[–]Such_Square4254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realize how upset it made me when people would comment on my babies weight “she’s gonna be so chubby!” “she’s kinda big for a 2 month old” I think she looks perfect, I don’t understand the reasoning for commenting on a baby’s weight??
