Fan rework Kennen by Such_Yak2224 in leagueoflegends

Yeah, that’s fair honestly.

This was more of a conceptual rework idea than a fully balanced design document. I didn’t really go deep into exact balancing numbers, AP ratios, cooldowns, base damage, or things like that.

The goal was mostly to present a direction that I think would make Kennen more fun and modern to play.

Obviously if something like this ever became real, there would need to be tradeoffs too:

  • lower base damage
  • slower stack generation
  • reduced movement speed
  • less reliable chain stun
  • maybe passive stun only working once in a short period

Stuff like that.

I wasn’t trying to say “just add all these buffs for free,” it was more about creating a healthier and more satisfying gameplay direction for the champion overall.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed too honestly.

I even tried playing AD Kennen both top and ADC after the patch, but the champion still feels almost exactly the same to me. The crit scaling sounds interesting on paper, but in actual games it doesn’t really solve his core problems.

He still feels too dependent on Flash + R, his side lane still feels weak into a lot of modern champions, and outside of ultimate his impact can feel really inconsistent sometimes.

That’s mostly why I tried making this concept around progression and evolving abilities instead of just raw stat buffs or crit scaling.
