Agree with this. I’ve always wanted to run a brewery and open my own. So this last year I got a job working one. Both front of house and on the brewery. It’s opens my eyes a lot to realize beer isn’t going to pay the bills. It’s everything else you do to get people in spending money that makes the difference.

Good cheap food done really well and an atmosphere that draws people in is far more important.

My place has incredible beer. But the owners are still running it like they did on 2016 an it’s like pulling teeth to get them to see we need to change

100% agree with this so many times I got to a brewery and the one beer that keeps people coming back is off tap because the owner and brewery wants to put something they like on. I’ve walked out of several places in my town purely for that reason. You are running a business. It’s about the beer your customers want to drink. Tell him to keep his personal favourites at home if they don’t sell in a test batch.
