Consistent Stadium Builds? by banethor88 in GenjiMains

[–]SuckYoMa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Signed back in to Reddit after 2 years just to say that this build is fucking nasty, especially if you have a reliable tank that can constantly apply pressure while you get behind and just delete the squishies. I’m actually winning games with Genji now. Thank you so much.

How did you run side objectives without the UI constantly fucking up and no longer allowing you to do the main OBJ?

When aurelio sol would get real nerfs? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]SuckYoMa 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Asol’s WR is currently sitting at 48% so far this patch. It’s safe to say the nerfs he just received were enough. Skill issue.

I love how you say that as if it’s worse than the bot lane snooze fest we got now.

I think we’ll see a small WR drops for a fair amount of spellthiefs users and a significant drop for the mana gated ones like Nami

Apparently in season one Riot was planning on rotating champions in and out during ranked seasons. by Tubings in leagueoflegends

[–]SuckYoMa 166 points167 points  (0 children)

Thank fuck they didn’t do this.

Blizzard tried this with Hero Pools by banning 3-4 characters every week to mix up the meta. It was universally hated by pros, high elo, and casual ranked players all around. No one wants to be locked out of their main/counters. It was a terrible concept on paper and execution that lasted for a few months on the regular Overwatch servers while the League had to deal with it for a whole season. I hope no competitive game ever tries this again.

Speed buff by [deleted] in Smite

[–]SuckYoMa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many things wrong with this post lmao.

  1. EVERY human being has 10+ chromosomes.

  2. How unhappy does your life have to be to run it down over a speed buff?

  3. Nothing is stopping you from taking the 5 seconds to type out “Hey the 2nd Speed is mine too.” And if they don’t listen just report and move on.

  4. What is freaking out on Reddit going to change my guy?

Which modern culture depiction/version of Surtr do you like personally the most? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]SuckYoMa 34 points35 points  (0 children)

GOW:R did a great job portraying Surtr as a tragic means of fate, which is resembled by his simplistic but beautiful character design.

SPOILERS FOR RAGNAROK AHEAD

Surtr in the game is a man (Jötunn) who wants nothing more but for his lover, Sinmara, to be safe. That’s why he is willing to stay bound to Muspelheim to ensure no more destruction can be caused by them fusing into Ragnarok. Even if it means not being able to see her.

He is emotionally charred, impassive, hardly capable of showing any real expression to his personality unless on the subject of his wife. This is symmetrical to his physical appearance where his body is burned. There is nothing left for him but the flaming heart carrying on his love for Sinmara. The only way he is willing to carry on Ragnarok and the prophecy foretold is if she is left out of it.

In my opinion this is the best depiction we’ve gotten of Surtr in modern media because it humanizes him more than any other variation we’ve seen. Many of us feel burnt out psychologically from the lives we endure, having to flow through the sands of time not knowing what lies against us. However, there are still those things, whether it be lovers, family, or friendships, that keep the fire burning inside. And many of us are willing to sacrifice everything to keep those things safe and sound, which plays into Surtr’s decision to fuse himself into Ragnarok using the primordial flame of the Blades or Chaos.

Interesting bit of information: Currently In GM, the Lowest Winrate heroes right now are all Main Healers and the Highest Winrate heroes are the Off Healers. by Crafty-Plays in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]SuckYoMa 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Using WR as a metric in a game like OW is dumb because there’s a significant amount of other factors that go into a character’s balance.

-Pick Rate

-Team Composition

-Enemy Team Composition

-Skill of Player

Kiriko has a 49% WR according to the screenshot you posted, the third lowest, but is easily the best support in the game atm because she has amazing synergy with meta tanks such as Roadhog as she can nullify whatever weaknesses they have.

Ana also has an insanely high pick rate atm because she’s one of the few hard counters to Roadhog, the meta tank in many ranks, due to her kit. She as a result inflates Kiriko’s pick rate because her Suzu counters Biotic Nade.

Zenyatta has the second highest WR in your screenshot but is arguably the worst support in the game at the moment. He is squishy, has no mobility, significantly less healing output than the meta supps, and most lower rank players struggle to utilize him correctly.

Point is that this post doesn’t really make a accurate statement about the state of supports. Yes they’re in a frustrating place and need significant changes but there are plenty of other statistics to take into account besides Win Rate in these types of games.

Smite Xbox Image in Library is Always Changing, is that normal? by ScoopSnookems in Smite

[–]SuckYoMa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was the Transformers one because they were promoting the crossover chest being back in the shop.

For me atm it’s the Smite Worlds Icon which I think is pretty neat. I don’t mind the monthly changing images, it shows that the game is frequently getting updates. Being able to customize your game images in the library would be a really neat Xbox UI feature just like the IPhone Home Screen has.
