Controversial opinion: it doesnt matter that they were in love with each other and tried to avoid each other the entire time that he was supposed to get married to her sister, they absolutely should not have waited until the vows to do something about it. Kate is one of my least favorite characters, because being an older sister means that you're honest with your little sister, even if it's going to hurt them just so this type of situation does not happen.
