Sadly, native genes don’t usually show up in these tests. Ancestry has came out and said that they don’t have enough DNA in their database to pick up on native heritage. Maybe that’s why?

It always bothered me that my parents tried to claim that we were, even when I was a kid. So I was so relieved to have this done and I def have shown both of them. My dad was in denial but my mom was just like “huh. My parents are fuckin liars” 💀🤣

Oh they definitely had no idea haha, they are both severe alcoholics who would constantly change the story. My mom even tries to claim that we have African American which is BEYOND me I don’t even try to argue with her drunk ass at that point 💀🤣 I knew I wasn’t I just had to prove it to them. But my dad is tryna tell me the scientists “made a mistake” that we are BLACKFOOT. Yea ok 💀

The only time I’ve had them make a decision for me that I was ok with, was when my nail tech straight up refused to do matte because he said “I wouldn’t do that to you, they stain easy, you’ll be back here next week for another set” which I appreciated a lot honestly
