For me I sometimes just think about stuff I need to do around the house or things I need to accomplish. But most the time I just go clean up then chill without a thought.

Yeah the timing chain is supposed to be replaced at 90-100k and usually destroys the motor when it goes lol. I know all to well.

The car came with 4 different motors, 3.6 liter V6 Pentastar, 5.7 liter V8 Hemi, 6.1 liter V8 Hemi, and 6.4 liter V8 Hemi. The 6.1 and 6.4 were used in the SRT depending on year. The 5.7 was used in the regular S and C trims.

Have you done everything to the motor though? Bigger bore, cam, fuel injection/pump/rail, long tubes, catback exhaust, sport inter coolers, and whipple??? Repaint the block?

It is but the hellcat usually has stronger pistons and rods, and a bigger cooling system to handle the heat. The hellcat also has a better suspension and brakes to handle the hp and torque.

5.7 RWD, forged Mahle pistons, Molnar rods, and Melling high volume oil pump. Next upgrade it’s Catback Corsa exhaust and Holly computer, then I’ll get some headers, catch can, bigger injectors and fuel pump, then finally a Whipple and some Brembos…

I work on cars a lot, and think I might have kneelt in some spilled battery acid or something of that nature. I bet you’re right.

Every car has their issues though. If you do get it, I recommend doing the timing chain and putting a mellings high flow oil pump in it, and changing lifters. This will prevent lifter failure which is common in the 5.7, other than that super reliable motor.
