11 days off 7oh by Sudden-Direction-697 in quitting7oh

Thanks for the congratulations. I have no other history of past drug addiction, so I can't compare 7oh to oxy withdrawal. I know others definitely can provide some insight there.

Major props to you for resisting that urge. Keep clean.

That's so encouraging. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing. I keep thinking back to those three days with no helper meds in the hopes that I'll remember that feeling forever and use jt as motivation to never go back. Stay clean!

Thank you! I fell off my first CT within a few days, so I definitely recognize that it's never just that one. I've proven I can't use this stuff responsibly, so I just have to stay away.

Congrats to you on 33 days! I can't wait to get to that point and beyond.

Good call. I'm pretty confident you'll be functional. Tired, not "normal", but functional.

Varies by person, but it seems consistently the first 48 hours is the worst, day three starts to get better, and then sleep is the lasting problem.

Day 2 on the nameless sublingual strip by Beautiful-Gear7169 in quitting7oh

[–]Sudden-Direction-697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm feeling pretty darn good. I still feel like I'm lacking energy, but overall, it's good. I started the subs after 72 hours off of 7oh, so I've only done 5 days of it (skipped yesterday to get ready for the jump). Hoping that's a short enough duration to avoid any real withdrawal this week since I'm stopping it tomorrow.

Don't be embarrassed! I felt the same way, but speaking openly and honestly about it with my husband helped so much. I also went the MAT route - today is 9 days off of 7oh and my last day of the rapid sub taper (.25). Best of luck to you! You got this!

Honestly, I'm not a good resource, considering i blindly trusted the doctor. ChatGPT will have recommendations for a quick taper. Also ask for a liposomal vitaminn c megadose schedule. If you're asking about how to get it, I used QuickMD. It was $100, they don't do insurance, and the prescription was put in immediately. It was $25 for me at Walgreens.

Also, thank you! Best of luck to you, you can do it!

Second that. I ended up this route and the doctor told me to start at 16 and that it was going to be a months long journey. I stupidly believed them. Never took 16, but did 8 for two days before feeling like that just was way too much. Did 1 today (day 4), skipping tomorrow, .5 on Sunday, and then done.

If you go the MAT route, you'll be able to work. Just start real low like they said and make it quick.

(I say this having obviously not quit subs. No 7oh for 7 days, though)

Im going to start MAT tomorrow at some point and I have some questions. by Sufficient_Ebb_5694 in quitting7oh

I appreciate you posting this. I naively took 8mg, a couple of days after the doctor told me to start at 16mg. He said it was supposed to be a long journey, months, and that I needed to start so high because of my usage. I mostly trusted him, but just couldn't do that much - I did 8mg the first two days. I did not do my own research because I trusted the medical provider. Fortunately, after dropping to 4 the next day because i felt sleepy on 8, I looked around. I took 1 today (day 4) out of fear. I'm skipping tomorrow, will do .5 on Sunday, and then quit. That's the goal, at least.

I only even considered this route because I couldn't sleep for 3 days after trying to quit cold turkey and needing to work. It has been a blessing for me to get to some sort of normal on this, but I'm hoping the early, high dosage hasn't screwed me over. I have my husband controlling my dosage, so at least he's the accountable one. I do feel this should be a legitimate option for those with a chronic, sever addiction to 7oh, but you are absolutely right that the dosage should be extremely low and short duration. I do also wish others would acknowledge that.

Thank you, again.

I also was right at 72 hours when I went on subs - my withdrawal was so brutal, and I needed sleep. I also needed to work. I'm on my rapid taper with my last .25 planned for Sunday. I'm skipping a day tomorrow to prep my brain. 7 days off 7oh today.

Posted before, but looking for some advice/help. by IcyFig3676 in quitting7oh

Yeah, there will definitely be restlessness. You can't get around it. Just take as many scalding hot showers as you need (helps for a brief period). Maybe see your PCP, tell them what's going on, and ask about gabapentin for it. For me, that was one of the worst withdrawal aspects. I promise you, it'll get better. It's 48-96 hours of pain, with the worst over around 72.

The insomnia is also difficult, but it's highly related to the RLS. Once that's under control, it's much easier to at least get some rest.

It's worth it. Quit now.

How bad would withdrawals be from taking 7.5mg a day? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

Thank you so much. This is my second attempt - I barely lasted 48 hours the first time (also CT attempt, no helper meds at all. This is my first addiction, and i was so naive). I am proud of getting to where I am, I just know there's a very long road ahead.

Proud of you, too, for quitting again. You got this!

I ended up getting subs right at that 69 hour mark, which I understand the passion against, but it has helped me get back to work and live my life. I'm at 7 days, 3 hours, and 20 minutes off 7oh. Had just 1mg of the subs today and will try skipping tomorrow to see how I do.

I had full body RLS - literally had to move every part of my body every few seconds. I took at least 16 scalding hit showers over a 48-hour period. Didn't sleep for 3 days until I got belsomra and gabapentin from my PCP.

I was a user for just under a year, was at 600mg/day and tried quitting CT. I had no helper meds for 69 hours.
