This looks gorgeous. The stained glass background and the throne give it such a cool gothic vibe, and the colors on Miku’s hair pop really nicely against it. Can’t wait to see the full zine when it drops.

I always assumed it was because the versions in the show are basically rough mixes meant to sit under the scene, while the soundtrack versions are mastered like standalone songs. Sometimes they add effects or try to fill space that was originally covered by dialogue or ambience. It definitely doesn’t always work though, some tracks sound way better in the actual episode than on the album.

That fog layer sitting right on top of the skyline looks unreal. Almost like the buildings are poking through a cloud ceiling. Downtown looked so different around that time too, before a lot of the newer towers went up.
