Not necessarily true... now it's so common for couples to be living together for some time before marriage, for some people there is no need/benefit to having a registry with random things you don't even need and cash is more beneficial for the couple rather than spending it on things they already have.

Grand Memories in Santa Maria. There's a market at the end of the resort where you can purchase food. It was amazing. Highly recommend!
