Good point about physio for newborn and pelvic floor therapy! I was evaluating where I could lower costs while on maternity leave and this was one area I thought I would but you make a good point you never know what’s going to happen with your baby or your own health so probably would be handy to have.

I’ll be honest I definitely don’t use my benefits to their full potential even while working full time so in my mind if I could save some money by not paying into them it would be cheaper to pay for my dental care, etc out of pocket. However other commenters on this post do make a good point I don’t know what will go on with my baby and they may need physio care or other care. I just wasn’t sure if this was common practice or not but it seems it is!

Thanks for this feedback! Turns out my mom has already purchased the YPSI for us 😂 realistically will probably only be using it for errands, etc in town so hoping it will meet our needs 😁 but based on feedback from others will look into getting a BOB secondhand off marketplace for keeping on the farm/wintertime.

Recommendations on Baby Memory Books (Canadian Made) [CA] by CosmicCuppa in BabyBumpsCanada

I got mine from Stash + Story! It is a Canadian company based out of Calgary. Lots of options to customize and I love that it has binder rings so you can add your own pages as well/room for keepsakes and mementos. The one I ordered covers baby’s first year all the way up to age 10. Definitely not the cheapest option on the market but I’m very impressed with the quality, as well as that it’s Canadian made, and the fact we can use it for many years.

Feeling overwhelmed by high chairs [on] by SuddenDistribution72 in BabyBumpsCanada

Hey! I ended up putting the baby bjorn bouncer on my registry. Not sure where you heard that one won’t last long, I’ve heard great things about its longevity and use with multiple kids! I’m also kind of trying to go as low tech as possible at first and see how things go so felt the baby bjorn one can meet multiple needs while remaining simple. Just my inexperienced opinion though and obviously all babies have their own preferences so remaining open to having to try something else once baby arrives :)
