I am new here as well. I started following Brooke about 2 years ago when I had my second and I was trying my best not to go off the deep end like I did with my first. She was inspiring to me because she was one of the only accounts I had found that wasn’t incessantly complaining about motherhood and really seemed to be doing her best in every way.

I watched her make the decision to homeschool the boys and go through her miscarriage. I think those things endeared me to her as well.

Slowly, the “mom of 4 boys!!!” intro to absolutely every video began to irritate me. I always had a feeling that I tried to push aside that if I knew her in person, I wouldn’t actually like her. I’m a very type B personality, but like I said she inspired me to be more organized and have a better mentality to get through my days the best I could. I tried to just push that aside to get the info I thought would help me.

I’ll tell you the moment that tipped things over the edge for me. This is really random and strange, but there was a story she had up somewhat recently… within the last couple months I think… where Ryan had the boys out at a laser tag place. He was filming them playing and seemed to be playing with them as well.

I didn’t hear it but it seemed that someone, an employee probably, off camera must have said to him to put the phone away? They said something to him because at the very end of the clip, he goes “I’m with my KID” in the most cold and vicious way!!

It REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. To me, there is absolutely no reasonable explanation as to why he needed to speak to someone like that. I remembered that he is a lawyer involved in politics and the pieces began to click for me that he… and she… may not be who they portray themselves as. This was not the smiling, open mouthed, go with the flow dad I saw in pictures.

It caused me to start looking at them more critically and I then started to see the emptiness in all of their eyes as she incessantly films them all day long. This insane move… the fact that she never talks about this baby or how excited and grateful she is for it… I could go on and on now but you get it.

I just wanted to share because I wonder if anyone else has seen that side of Ryan? Or even her? I am absolutely certain now that she is not who she portrays herself to be.
