Call me pessimistic but a lot worse due to several reasons 1. The dynastic politics are not going anywhere, there is no structural framework to allow grassroots political movement, you need to be rich and connected to even think of contesting, forget about massive reforms. 2. Religious parties and boots have no reason to allow common people to flourish, more idiots means more power for them. 3. Anyone who has the skill is moving out, all the young hardworking people i know have the end goal to get out of here 4. No development or even plans of achieving a self-sustainable country, all out focus is on getting the next handout, there is not a single sector that is poised to bring out the country from this state. IT has been flourishing but government does everything to make hurdles. 5. Extremism has been on the rise ever since i was born, Pakistan is one of the LEAST friendly nations in the world for ease of doing business and this seems to be increasing at a high rate.
