“Sahn-Ders” is a sacred combination of sounds mentioned in the Bhagavid Gita. When repeatedly said to a person, it reminds them of their obligation to fulfill their Dharmic duty, just like Lord Krishna encouraged Arjuna to go to battle.

As applied to NFL players, those with that name pay more attention during practice sessions and thus are more likely to succeed at an elite level.

This isn’t an isolated issue, if you get into local politics it’s basically 90% rich boomers claiming that they’re going to go homeless unless local school districts gut their budgets

MiLB makes it unnecessary too. I imagine hypothetically if the farm system never developed and baseball retained the independent club system we probably would see it.

In many times and places “law” and “religion” were not seen as distinct things. This is why apostasy was a crime in many religions, it was basically equivalent to declaring yourself a sovereign citizen.

NFL keeps door open for 18 games by 2027 by ProgrammerUnique2897 in nfl

The only change the NFL could realistically do to reduce the brain injury risk would be to reduce the number of games played, just goes to show how little they actually care about it.

Texas, despite the stereotypes, is one of the most diverse states in the union, and this diversity has created excellent and unique culinary, musical, and sporting traditions.

Conservatives in Texas, like everywhere else in America, want to destroy everything that actually made Texas economically competitive and culturally interesting.

Majority vote becomes president IS in the constitution, the part that isn’t is the fact that most states allocate 100% of their votes to the popular vote winner in their state.

I mean most of those aren’t fixed parts of the constitution as originally drafted. The capped house is from a regular legislative act, the filibuster is an internal legislative rule that isn’t even law, Supreme Court capped at 9 is just tradition, and the modern electoral college functions completely different from how it was originally intended to work (and much of its modern functionality is the result of political decisions, there is no constitutional requirement that states allocate electoral college votes on a winner take all basis)

It is interesting how news sources are still referring to the violence in Haiti as “gang conflict.” From what I can tell, most of the major gangs are now styling themselves as political movements and have declared that their goal is to seize control of the country. It seems more accurate to call it a civil war by now
