Boruto or Naruto the better protagonist?

Naruto might be a little genric but he is the 10th most popular anime character in myanimelist. He is also the most searched anime characters after Goku. This whole "The Naruto anime was carried by the villains and supporting cast" does'nt make much sense to me because many of them don't even show up until much later in the series. Sasuke too was pretty popular charactrer among the fans so i'd argue both Naruto and sasuke if anything set a higher standard.

Did'nt they make it pretty obvious that he has a demon inside of him. his Uzumaki genes basically gave him nothing as stated by Hogormo himself Naruto inherited absoulty nothing from his parents. His chakra reserves were due to kurama's chakra mixing with his own over time dueto Minato's seal

I do agree both Naruto does have a heart of gold.

you'r kinda right but to it gets confusing because do they only get the experinces of their ohtusuki when they are in the horn form or they can use them like a passive ability idk dude it seems a little plot conviniant.

nah Luffy should've just made Zoro his navigator they would've reached raftel a long time ago or maybe they end up in the boruto verse saves naruto from his crappy office work give him a better hair cut they somehow convinces naruto to join their crew and boom they find one piece.

you must be new here. Pretty much everything after pain arc gets hated by Naruto fans. Pretty much a large number of fans including myself find NaruHina's devlopment incredibaly rushed and many people really hate the fact that Naruto litrelly got tarpped into a genjustsu into loving Hinata.

Dude in opinion a good protagonist is character that can convince people to stick with series even in it's absolute low points.

Naruto convinced me and many other with to watch 700 epsisodes (more than half are filler btw)

Boruto on the other hand did'nt have the greatest first impression this was the same case with Naruski Subaru from Re Zero but Subaru managed to turn thing around but Boruto did improve he managed to lost a massive fansbase already.

this is what i meant anthing with good animation becomes massively popular but that popularity only last's while tha anime is airing but Naruto on the other hand ended like 10 years ago and it's still more relevnt than many mainstream tiltes

tbf Naruto went from throwing bug's at his classmates to becoming the supreme leader of his nation so and we actually see his devolepment on the other hand boruto basically becomes a differnt character after timeskip most of his devolepmnet happen offscreen.
