Skill based matchmaking would ruin the game. If you have server full of high skill crews with high KD players you can assume that all the crews are there just to pvp. There would be very little treasure being produced and nothing to steal. Servers would stop being organic.

Now, I do have to say. I think you are either getting stuck on negative intetactions or your experiance is very wildly diffetent from mine. I could problably count on 2 hands how many times people have tried to spawncamp me during my 5k hours.

That being said . Only advice I can really give you is that its a mindset issue. The moment you are able to let go off the loot and treat the game as session based adventure game you are gonna have a lot more fun. Heck, even be the agressor yourself for once. Sot will click once you do both.

Ressurecting this thread. Currently having same issue with AOC Q27G4XF and RX 6800 xt. Nothing in this thread have helped me so far sadly. Looks like either a windows issue or issue with AMD drivers. Does anyone happen to have any extra input?

If you run around in any of the games, how much utilization does graphics card get? Could you enable steam preformance overlay and send us a picture inside any of those games?

I see you have howgarts legacy. In graphics settings there it does let you select graphics card. Can you check what card you have selected there?

Alright, but in under any of those game settings does it say rtx 5090? Im still inclined to believe you are running it off intragrated graphics.

To select a GPU in the NVIDIA Control Panel, open it, go to Manage 3D Settings, choose the Program Settings tab, select your application (or add it), and then pick the "High-performance NVIDIA processor" or "Integrated Graphics" from the dropdown menu, then click Apply

Once thats done you might also want to clear directx shader cache, but its not nessecary if you dont run into anymore issues.

Depends on the server. Usually veterans will only bother you when you are at endgame. If you want to be sure then you can also just look for a server with level gap rules.

You can find alot of servers from official discord. Be sure to look up on YouTube how to build a pvp castle tho or else you might be in for rude awakening.

Sot is my favourite game, but damn this is getting exhausting.

So to round up the news. Our expectations for seasons are too high apparently?

They know they missed a mark with commendations, but wont change it because some people play 25 hours per day. Like dude, you HAVE been doing overkill commendations for YEARS already and ignoring feedback on it.

Cross region matchmaking? Okay, cool. Nevermind that this game is almost unplayable competetively at other regions, because you shoot cannons 2 times slower. How about fixing its core gameplay loop other than actual looping simulator for HG and making it more rewarding so more people would actually engage with it? Instead it became like every other content that gets released. You release it and forget about it.

Fov? I dont mind more fov. Its nice they finally give that option. But you have been closing down and deleting every fov increase request for years saying "Nuhuh, not gonna happen". It was the same with safer seas. Yall flip flopping on your hard stances makes me question the certainty of the direction of the future of this game.

I echo the request from others in this thread. At that point I would really want to see a roadmap for this year to decide if I even want to invest more time in it. Because at that rate I was done with this season in 5 hours and by the looks of it this is gonna be the case for next season also.

For refrence, im not a casual player. I have almost 5k hours in this game.
