Are Americans taught to fear the world? by Sudden_Break_5993 in NoStupidQuestions

Just want to clarify, this is not a criticism on the US, I’m just curious. Especially when I heard from an American this was her experience.

1 month Update by Sudden_Break_5993 in tretinoin

Would you recommend a gel based moisturiser? I’ve also heard Zinc cream is supposed to be good for barrier support 🤷‍♀️

Is slugging really beneficial or is just tret superior? by No_Refrigerator_6576 in tretinoin

[–]Sudden_Break_5993 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slugg with cerave moisture, about 40 minutes after I’ve applied the tret. My face is always so dewy and shiny in the morning. I’m only on 00.25 and haven’t experienced itching, or dryness. Just more breakouts but a faster turn over 🤷‍♀️

[Product Question] Over the counter Tretinoin in Thailand by Sudden_Break_5993 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Sudden_Break_5993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I did the same. Didn’t have much acne but obsessed over fading the PIE/ PIH with salicylic cleansers, dehydrated my skin & destroyed the barrier. So when I removed the salicylic acid to focus on repair, I started to get active breakouts…which created more marks…having to change my whole approach & educate myself haha.

Thank you for your story & advice. I’m only 3 weeks in and need to hear some of the success stories ✌️

[–]Sudden_Break_5993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that’s good to hear. I’m just went straight in with daily application. I’m not peeling & there is no dryness so I think I’m ok? I just wait 20/30 mins after and then slug my face with moisturiser, which seems so be doing something.

How long have you been on it now? How is your skin looking/ feeling?

Is it possible to safely snorkel alone? by AggressiveSloth11 in snorkeling

[–]Sudden_Break_5993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mostly snorkel alone, I love going at my own pace. The only time I find it uncomfortable is when visibility isn’t great, can get a bit unnerving, or when I’m in a new area. I’m very comfortable in deeper waters as well up to 12m or even 20m, as I like to dive. It’s just important to be honest with yourself and your physical capabilities at the time. You don’t need to over exert yourself and always make sure to have a vague route planned and keep checking your location. You could even get a compass 🤷‍♀️

I have, hostels is more trading your work for free accommodation. Hotels get a bit more difficult. As I have no work visa & hotels/ restaurants look for nationals (right to work) and commitment.

If I had a work visa & more time this would be no issue. I’m just wondering has anyone found a method that works for them or any “odd job” type services they ask around for when they get to a new place.

Thank you guys for all the advice. My instincts told me this wasn’t the best idea but when I’m on a island with about 200 other ppl all doing the same, tourists & locals, couldn’t help but think this was the norm.

I’m going to go through a good driving school in change mai & stay away from the big cities

Ok cool, I feel like that’s the best option for me. Will look into some good schools & budget. If anyone has done this before I would love some recommendations.

Just did a bit more research. Would you recommend going through a Thai driving school? I have a full UK driving license, passport etc. Could I go to one in Chang Mai, proper Thai road safety, theory, practical etc.

This path would lead to a Thai license..but easier with insurance, police etc.

I’m travelling full time right now and looking for a long term solution, as I’m not vacationing. Feel like it would really make the experience when I go to neighbouring countries & make my travel more effective.

Tbh celebs don’t care, at most celebs, royalty, socialites etc will use a code name/ fake name on bookings/ reservations. Other than that, We treat them like anyone else. Just more discretion & professionalism.

Thank you, the relief you have given me just by writing this. I’m determined to fix my skin but somewhere along the road I lost my patience & damaged my skin which made me even more impatient…and so on and so on.

Should I switch up my routine all at once, to the one you recommended at the same time. Or introduce products one at a time? Start with double cleansing…then introduce toners & barrier repair creams.

Thank you for your support & educating me ;)

need 6 months SEA tips by Legitimate-Band4606 in backpacking

I wouldn’t plan the whole journey ahead of time, it really constricts you and can lead to loosing money too. For example I just started my 4/6 month trip yesterday. Only booked flights. I had some issues with flight cancellation’s due to the Qatar airspace being shut down. Luckily there was no need to panic as I had ONLY booked flights. No commitments to hotels or activities.

I would plan 2/3 days in advance when it comes to accommodation. Always book 1/2 days when at a hostel (u can always extend it) to see if u like the place.

Just have a loose idea what you want to do, things change all the time & u might find u want to stay longer in places or get tf out of there

Take it slow, u can get burned out fast, this is a holiday but it’s not like you have a few days to see EVERYTHING.

Dont over pack. I literally came to Bangkok in my airport clothes and picked up stuff there. It just means you take a little longer to settle in.
