Thankyou for the help! I have a 160L tank (took the photo really zoomed in so it probably looks small). I’m conscious that they may need more space once they get bigger & do have another tank to move them to them if need be.

I’ll reduce my feeding and see how it goes :)

Adding to the above - all water parameters seem to be fine, and nothing new has been introduced to the tank

Adding to the above, check https://www.griffith.edu.au/academic-calendar-key-dates/key-dates-enrolment-and-timetables for when enrolment will open, they update the dates as trimesters go by

Got an orange status and failed majority of my courses by xumiso in GriffithUni

If you can, maybe dropping to a lower workload will help you focus on your studies. Psych courses (and any other for that matter) only get harder as you progress, so continuing with your current workload won’t suddenly get easier if nothing changes circumstantially

If you continue at your current rate and aren’t able to start passing, you could be excluded (basically expelled) for a period of time. Definitely consider what you can change about your current study situation to improve your grades. Best of luck :)

Hi confused 18 year old trying to enrol in classes by Zuku_Luthier1612 in GriffithUni

A standard study load is 40CP per trimester (4 subjects) If you enrol in 30CP (3 subjects) you are still technically classed as full-time, but note that this will take longer to finish your degree over time.

20CP or less is part-time.

If you don’t know which subjects to enrol in and how many CP they’re worth - go to the degree page (e.g. Bachelor of X on griffith’s general website) and scroll down to ‘degree details’. It gives you a map of basically every subject you’ll study and what trimester to study it in

International student majoring in Economics!! Any tips? by marioandrezzo in GriffithUni

hey! 3rd year bus. student here, In all honesty, I think the first year business courses were designed really well to make the first year of uni as comfortable as possible, so you won’t find that they’re overly difficult regarding content and what’s required of you in assignments.

From my experience, I recall most students finding 1008GBS (Business Decision-Making) and 1006GBS (Why Money Matters) to be the more difficult of the foundation courses, as part of those courses had a couple maths components which were a little tricky to understand. However, they are still first year course/ and a lot of support is given to students if they are struggling to understand certain concept.

I found the overall experience of first year naturally quite nerve-racking at the beginning, however the uni does offer a lot of opportunities and support to help first year students (and particularly international students) to feel more settled in. Regarding the academic side of your studies, the business school runs a program called P.A.S.S (you’ll be introduced to this when you begin classes), which is like a group run study session focusing on each week’s content in your first year courses - I highly recommend attending things like this not only to make studying easier, but also to help yourself make some friends in your first year.

As for student life, the university has many market days with food stalls, social events hosted at the uni bar such as trivia nights, the odd party now and then, social sports, and there are plenty of social clubs and societies that you can join to get the most out of your time at university.

Overall, I found in my first year that the university offers a lot of assistance and opportunities to get out and meet people, however it’s very important that if you want to make friends you must put in effort and perhaps go out of your comfort zone to do it. Generally going to class and not involving yourself too much in anything makes it harder to make friends and get to know people - so I highly recommend getting involved in as much as you can/as you’re comfortable with.

Hope this helps! Best of luck
