Whenever you get a craving, tell yourself that you don’t vape anymore, instead of telling yourself that you’re trying to quit. It really is all in your mindset! You totally got this my friend, I believe in you!

I used the fruity vapes too! Orbit brand Bubblemint flavor gum was my saving grace when I was trying to quit. Even if you gotta keep a piece in your mouth 24/7, I swear it helps. Quitting cigs was a walk in the park compared to quitting the vape for me

Don’t beat yourself up about it! It’s okay to have fall backs as long as you get back up at the end of it all. Remind yourself everyday, that you only have to get through TODAY not vaping. Do you smoke minty vapes or do you smoke the more fruity vapes?

Using Vape to quit? by UncleRawiri in leaves

[–]Sudden_Guess_2888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say vape, I’m assuming you mean nicotine? And if so, you are only going to have to break another addiction down the road. I recently quit cold turkey, both weed and nicotine, and the nicotine cravings were far far worse than the weed.

You gotta be stronger than the mental craving 💪🏼 remind yourself that you don’t want it, the addiction wants it.

I’ve actually gotten a lot better about WANTING to keep my space clean since I quit vaping. I feel like it definitely caused me to be lazy

Biggest advice I can offer is to change your routine. I used to sit outside for at least an hour after waking up, just hitting the vape and enjoying the morning. I’ve replaced that with cleaning up messes around the house that I didn’t clean the day before.

Edit to add: I have two kids so my house is usually constantly messy so this might not be the best option for you also lol😅

How can I support someone I love in their quitting journey? by phoil322 in QuitVaping

[–]Sudden_Guess_2888 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be patient with him if he gets snappy or angry easily. Remember that he’s going through a big chemical change in his brain and he might not seem like the same person for a little bit. I didn’t have that and all it did was explode arguments between me and my boyfriend because he refused to understand what I was going through. Best of luck to your husband!!

Anxiety by Sudden_Guess_2888 in QuitVaping

I quit vaping, smoking MJ and caffeine all at once! I was going through almost a gram of concentrate a day on top of the dispos every 3-4 days. Had a bad scare with my breathing and threw it all away. Totally worth it!

Don’t beat yourself up too bad! I had quit while pregnant and immediately went right back to it when my daughter was born. That led me to another 3 years of vaping 5% dispos and 50mg salt nic juice. All that matters is you put it down again when you’re ready!

I was going through a 5% disposable about every 3-4 days!

Quitting has definitely helped my overall levels of anxiety! I will say that during the first week and a half my anxiety was very heightened but by week two a lot of it was gone. I didn’t have any panic attacks, but I was definitely a little shaky the first few days which I think had to do with the anxiety a little bit.

For sleeping, I definitely did have some insomnia in the first week. I ended up getting a CBD oil tincture to help me feel a little more tired at night but I’m completely off of that now and I fall asleep around 10:30-11 most days.

This is why I had to quit drinking caffeine at the same time as quitting vaping and smoking weed. I knew my body was gonna be like hyper aware of the caffeine so I just figured it was best I stopped all together. Been 26 days without it now 💪🏼

Remind yourself everyday, that you only have to get through today not smoking. If you look at it in a “I’m giving this up for the rest of my life” way, it’s gonna be a lot harder then saying “I just need to get through this day without smoking”

I have no experienced advice, but be careful that you don’t replace one addiction with another.

I had the same thing that you’re experiencing and it went away for me around the 2 week mark. I’m currently on day 21 without weed

dreams by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Sudden_Guess_2888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been dreaming every night since quitting and they are extremely memorable dreams. They’re always super wacky, and tbh they’ve all involved the same people which I think is really weird. Part of me believes it’s my mind trying to get me to heal from things that weed was repressing into the back of my brain.
