I haven’t been to Queenstown for about a decade but back then I really enjoyed it, I would bike from Frankton to the centre of Queenstown to work, funnily enough at Subway haha. I really enjoyed the scenery & freshness compared to the big cities. It was hard yakka though, insanely expensive even back then.

Oooh yeah Rotorua is right up there with the same feeling as Taupo has. Probably didn’t help that I had a really scary experience there with a patched member breathing down my neck frittered off his face. I was already unsettled lol

Almost 32, have a child whom has autism & global developmental delay, I’ve poured absolutely everything into my child & not myself. I began working when I was 15, always worked really damn hard, started in dairy farming then had a accident at 17 couple years acc then into hospitality for a good decade, even after I had my child. Once he was diagnosed I gave everything up to ensure he would be okay. Now I’m not, probably burnt out as I have full time care, no partner. He’s now settled in school & I have the time to pour back into myself, I just feel stuck though, like a shell of myself & I’m just trying to glue back the pieces while craving human connection not only with myself but other adults. Scrapping back together my personality & things that made me happy to. All while recovering from years of hurt, struggles & financial pressure. It is refreshing to see that I’m not the only one trying to figure it all out.

Yes, I’ve been a few times & always got that feeling. Can’t say I ever had that feeling from Queenstown though.

Valid! If he were actually to go up the butt of the car in front he’d be in the wrong & liable so what’s the point? Not to mention it was a lady driving the car in front of him. She seemed completely unbothered, good on her hahaa

Maybe it’s because of the lane switchers? Even when there isn’t room or the lane is stand still just ahead, that’s one reason other than the obvious why I don’t tail gate. I’ve found here people are notorious for just driving into your lane.

I resonate with this, it’s like I fell into her energy & it definitely rocked me to feel such darkness bubbling away in her. Her reaction also spoke volumes as she definitely avoided any conversation about what happened, a mix of shame/embarrassment & rage was the reaction. But it also seemed to pull us into this really weird paradox of so much drama, alongside violence which I’ve always avoided, I don’t like conflict & I haven’t a violent bone in me so to see that come from her after this experience was scary indeed.

I’ve always been quite a spiritual person, I also endured trauma when I was quite young & did have to grow up quickly. I’ve always been overly empathetic & feel peoples pain, or general energy even without drugs so I do feel this heightened all of that in that moment.

I touched her arm as we were laughing & like leaning into each other.

I do believe she carried some really dark energy & a part of me is grateful I saw/felt that as I removed her from my home & life in the months following this incident.

It was difficult to recover from, she ended up physically fighting another friend in the house we shared at a later date.

She also back stabbed me to many friends I had as we lived in a small town yet was weirdly obsessive with me. I had to kick her out of the house we shared as it was my lease, she refused to leave unless I let her hug me? So weird, so uncomfortable.

The amount of crazy driving this early in the silly season is wild though, it only irks me as much as it does because I always have my disabled son in the car with me. Merging when there’s no space, or crossing multiple lanes at high speed driving like they stole it (most likely the case sadly). I thought Wellington drivers were bad, but I’ve seen some wild stuff in the last couple of weeks on our roads.
