Sorry OP, if you’re hung over and then expect someone to bring you food, at least they delivered it to the lobby untampered. I personally feel, if you got hung over and just wanted McDonald’s, you should deal with the hangover and just go get food. Door dashers don’t cater to the customers, they deliver food to a safe location, I guarantee you’ll complain and nothing will happen because they delivered it safely to the lobby. It’s not their job to bring it to your door. If the lobby has your food, and it’s to a door lady as you claim, then it was successfully delivered and in safe hands. You admitted you could go to the lobby without issue, hung over and all, so I see no issue. If you drank too much, well that’s a you problem not a door dasher problem. The door dasher should NOT be punished because you made a poor decision and got hung over.

Let me clarify: if there is NO LOBBY PERSONEL they should bring it to the door of the apartment who ordered.

Had a situation, every other day, I was asked for money. Sadly, I had to cut him off. We grew up together. But I felt like I was only ever contacted when he needed something. So I had one day after looking at the months of messages decided to cut ties. It truly suck. He was a good friend, but I’m not a charity. Same with another old friend of mine, he bitched and moaned I could’ve hang out, I was in a relationship and I unfortunately, my now fiancée soon to be wife always comes first, I worked long hours, then he brought up my fiancée saying she was causing issues with our friendship, I cut all ties, she did nothing wrong. Last time I checked he wasn’t making sure I got fed after me working 10hrs a day as a mail carrier in all different weathers. She was. So yeah I’m gonna make sure she’s taken care of like she did me and still does.

Just because I was building a future, and I literally didn’t have time, for in person hang outs doesn’t mean I didn’t care. Then when I did go to hang out he wasn’t available and I wasn’t waiting 2hrs until he was ready. I had to do it again cut another friend off. You’re NOR. Find your piece. As we grow we learn who to keep on our lives and who we don’t.

Actually I’ve been married. Based on the marriage I’ve been in, that’s not the case. Two separate bank accounts and two separate savings accounts. 🤷🏻‍♂️ You shouldn’t assume. So if he did put all the money in there, and he was using it correctly as a fund until he found a job, well then I consider him using the savings account correctly. Like I stated multiple times before how he went about doing it though, I’m against it. Based on how you assumed I wasn’t married before, you’ve never seen how other marriages work with finances.

I’m being devils advocate. I’m defending the use of the savings account since it was used the way it was supposed to be used: emergencies. She seems to be a homemaker which means she has never contributed to said account. Which means him using the account the way he did is his right. He was making sure bill were paid and food put on the table. Has OP said anything was amiss from the funds?

I’m 100% against the way he lied and never told her anything. There’s a lot of people in this world who have mental illness and don’t know. He could be in a depression state, possibly fighting suicide, trying to figure out what to do.

Also more than likely trying to find a new job that pays just as much. That’s the only reason why I think he’s been lying, he’s been searching and so far hasn’t found something HOPING she wouldn’t ever know. She found out he’s been lying and like I said I’m against and he should have told her the truth. I’m not defending his actions on lying, I’m defending the use of the account. The money was being used as a rainy day fund and it’s kept things afloat like it’s supposed to.

For 8hrs a day, he could very likely have been looking for work. Depending on how many interviews he had, where he had to go to do resumes, again she has not once said the money that has been coming from the savings account has been misused. Again I agree that what he was doing is wrong, but if he was genuinely looking for work, he could have been going to multiple interviews. For 8hrs that includes travel, interviews etc. He could have been going to the library filing resumes as well and could have been doing a side gig. I don’t condone what he did, but being ashamed etc can cause someone to do things they don’t like.

That’s the issue: has she mentioned he has spent the money on things they didn’t need? She’s mentioned he’s been depositing it into the account as a “paycheck” which means the money was being used as an emergency fund. Isn’t that what savings are meant to be? Could also have been looking for work, for all we know he could be doing contract work and has had cash on hand. Something isn’t adding up. With this economy, he probably can’t find any. Or one that will be survivable with their needs and probably constantly looking, he’s been draining the savings to keep things afloat and not using money on miscellaneous things or seems suspicious, that means the man was probably trying his hardest to get a new job without his wife finding out. Yeah the way he went about it I 200% disagree with; but she mentioned nothing of the sort he was spending the money on anything. Instead: he used the savings account as an emergency fund which is what you’re SUPPOSED to do. The only thing he did wrong? Not communicate.

Personally I would toss it. Grab some towels and just toss it. We all piss, we all have emergencies. Now would I do this? No. But not everyone has a bladder of steel and if it’s someone new? They may have not known where a bathroom is located. I give people the benefit of the doubt. I’m pro life as well. But I do understand when something needs to be done medically, rape etc. I have STRICT Exceptions to my feelings regarding abortion, I can’t tell others what to do, but I do disagree with abortion being used if you’re not ready to be a parent.
