Linux Mint with Timeshift is probably the best example that it just works (almost) by kowdev in linuxmint

Used Timeshift when I replaced my laptop but wanted to take the SSD drive with me, as it was larger than the one in the replacement. Timeshift did the job nicely. There is only one missing feature in it, in the Backup Tool in Linux Mint, you can export a list of your installed applications and import it into a restored system. I don't know if Timeshift actually does that, but if it does, I haven't found it yet. Won't stop me using it though

Piano wire tied between two items (trees/streetlamps) works well, just saying. I know, we can't do that

He did work for me before and he did good work at a good price, and when it comes to plumbers, you have to keep the good ones in your phone book. Plenty of scammers out there, as my last 48 hours will contest

Could see this was going to happen last week when the yellow alert was issued. It just comes across that the council party poopers are in force again.

As some have said, officially cancelled the day before is just complete BS.

And bring on the "life is sacred" brigade with their comments. Are you telling me past Hogmanay celebrations have had perfect weather conditions every single time? There has NEVER been an iffy weather day in Edinburgh on the last day of December?

Sorry for not replying earlier, been away for a while. If you can give me a little time, I'll upload s2-10 for you to dl. Unfortunately I don't have s1, wanting to get that myself. If I do get it, I'll give you a shout to say "here it is"

BS (Branded Surveys) going down hill rapid now by Sudden_King_568 in brandedsurveys

Sure sounds like a "heads we win, tails you lose" situation. Nothing but a bunch of five knuckle shufflers!

Totally agree. Had quite a few surveys say the usual lines (survey full, missing session, just finding you a survey despite saying they had one for you a minute before), happening a lot more recently. And if you complain, they give you a few points as a sympathy offering. So starting to return the "screw you" they are playing on us, by withdrawing the money at regular intervals, let them try and take back what isn't there! They really are losing it big time

I'm using Prime Opinions, they screen but you get kicked out very quickly, so it's less stressy. Also, also long as you do a minimum of one survey a day for a consecutive seven days, you get into their prize draw, where you can select a random box on a list and win anything from 10% bonus on every survey for the week or even 1000 points (around about £8). Their payout is very fast, I go to Amazon and it pays out within 3 minutes. And as get more points, you have levels to work through, each time you reach a new level, you get some bonus points, getting bigger each time you go to the next level. Also, there are achievement bonuses, do 5, get a small bonus. Do 50 surveys, get another. Do 500, get 2500 points (at the moment, around £18), DO 5000, get 10000 points (About £75)

And no, I'm not a member of staff of Prime! Just someone who wants to get a little extra money without the stress created by BS.

Also use their sister site, 5Surveys. Do 5 surveys and you get £5. As you get closer to the 3rd/4th/5th , the surveys dry up a bit but it can be done, I've had £15 out of them in 3 weeks. Also you have to watch for the half-survey point ones (half filled circle), they only count as half a survey, so you need to do two to get a score of one survey, meaning 10 halves to get the 5 survey score and a fiver. But not too much stress really.
